Title: Anyone use Kleopatra?
Post by: sitbacknrelax on August 10, 2012, 03:23 am
Just have a question about using Kleopatra. I made my public and private key but under details it still says open pgp and I'm worried that it's not fully private and wouldn't want to post it. Even though when I encrypt both and export it, there is a difference in the coding as far as when you make a private key there is a long message about it being private and to not post it...(OBVIOUSLY) but I'm just curious if it's ok to post my public one which it all looks good to me.

OpenPGP is the protocol used by GPG and PGP, which are both implementations of the protocol.

If you think of OpenPGP as cola, then GPG and PGP are like Coke and Pepsi.

You need to provide the public key to anyone who needs to encrypt messages to you.
