Hi im having trouble with GPG and was hoping for some help. I cant figure out how to put the message in the key, I watched a few tutorials on how to use gpg and nowhere was I able to find out how to do this. Thanks any helps appreciated

You don't put the message in the key, you encrypt the message with the key or keys belonging to the people you want to be able to decrypt the message. Normally you want to encrypt messages to yourself and the person you want to send the message to.
Which version of GPG are you using?

In GPA, click on Clipboard, type your message, then click Encrypt, then click on the key of the user you're sending the message to; this will give you the encrypted message which you can send over the forums or to a vendor. If you'd like to practice, please let me know and we can go back and forth as much as you need to :)

Thanks for the replies, im on the most recent version of GPG and my client is called Kleopatra, when i go to clipboard it will just say 'encryption succeeded' but no option to add my message. Would I just type my message in mail and copy/paste my key with it? Heres my key can you try to send me a message?

So how do I actually copy text to a clipboard? It only lets me add recipients.. And there is no way to type any message on the clipboard. Also I imported some message from someone I guess but it wont let me decrypt it. Is there another program besides kleopatra this stuffs getting frustrating.

Did you import their public key first? You'll need that. I use GPA and I think a lot of other users do too, you should check it out. I've had no problems with it so far.

If he can't decrypt a message sent to him it means that it wasn't encrypted with his GPG key. He needs to make sure the other person has imported his key and is using it. He needs to import their key and use it when encrypting to that person.
