Title: not really a tech support question

i'm just looking to find out what the max character count is for 1 forum post...in reference to the OP of the new cocaine vendors thread in the mill

someone mentioned 20k is the default with SMF but it can be set to unlimited.

I've posted some quite large GPG HOWTOs which didn't hit whatever the limit is.  The largest one was 14,728 bytes (the one about backing up secret keys securely).

It would take real effort to crack 20Kb in a single message.

well, i've broken the 16k character mark in post 1 of the new coke thread, that does include the weeks worth of updates though.  barring any sort of vendor influx, it looks like i should be fine even if it is 20k

indeed it does, however, when i started the new coke thread i was actually on dexies  lol

Well, if there's no one around to babble at then tapping away in this forum is a good next option.
