Quote from: and on July 21, 2012, 10:46 pmI am using OSX and have GPGTools installed. Most guides seem to be for Windows or Linux. Are there any walk-throughs on how to use GPGTools? I have played around a bit and have followed the quickstart guide, but I really have no idea how to use PGP.This video has been recommended for new users of GPGTools:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXm0dtYFxZkI got bored about 3 minutes in, but I've been doing this for a while. Nothing I saw in it to that point was wrong, but it does generalise a bit. Which means it probably is good for new users. ;)This book is also worth reading through:http://ocrlwkklxt3ud64u.onion/files/1340929812.pdf Quote from: and on July 21, 2012, 10:46 pmI can create a key and I have enabled the services to allow GPGTools to be used via the text editor. I copy/paste pine's public key into the text editor. Now what? I have the following options: decrypt, encrypt, import key from selection, insert my fingerprint, insert my key, sign selection, verify signature of selection. Edit: PGPClubRevolution public key has been stored in the Keychain Access. Thanks for the welcome. Looks like you worked that part out pretty well. :)Quote from: and on July 21, 2012, 10:46 pmNow, I open up the text editor and type a message. I select all and choose encrypt. PGPClub is selected as a recipient. I also select my Secret Key (is this correct?)Your key will always be listed as the secret key because you have both parts. When you select it for encrypting, GPG will only use the public part. When you select it for decrypting or signing, GPG will then use the secret part. That said, the message you encrypted was only encrypted with Pine's key.Quote from: and on July 21, 2012, 10:46 pmand receive the following:-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----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=RSuC-----END PGP MESSAGE----------BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----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=RSuC-----END PGP MESSAGE-----Is this working?Yes. There's an issue with some installations of GPGTools where message output or key output is displayed twice. At least two or three others have reported the same thing. When this occurs just delete one of them.To test your own key, post it here and one (or more) of us will encrypt a message to it.
