I've searched through countless FBI site seizures and every single one sticks to protocol. They also cite the exact reasons for why the site has been seized. I 100% believe that some sort of killswitch was activated. The watermark is a clear sign that the FBI hasn't actually gained control of the site.

some ppl posting on the redditt forums are claiming coins have hit their back up address, i mean i do agree with the watermark portion, but libertas confirmed the bad news. maybe this means they are waiting for DPRS right hand man, to step in and take over the business now im not sure, but currently things are looking pretty but i hope to god, your outlook is right!

oh jesus fucking christ with the watermark again....come on guys, feds get cute all the time....as i have said again and again today look at what they did to shadowcrew....its a legit seizure notice from the feds end of story, no wishful thinking will change that...

This is exactly what high profile Carding Forums take downs look liked. Some fed had fun crafting the nice 1.jpg, they seized the server, and some tech simply threw that image on and made it the default page.

Seriously? It's one thing not to want to talk about it, but it's quite another to pretend that the government custom designs forfeiture notices or even that they have a sense of humor. That's called a vivid imagination. It's odd, it's questionable, and it's obviously fake. We may not know what's happening, but that much is obvious.

Please stop spreading stupid BS about the watermark meaning the seizure notice on the page is fake...you just look dumb to anyone who has seen stuff like this go down before...

Actually upon further inspection does anyone else notice the pixelation around the text. Almost like it was cut from somewhere and Photoshopped. I suppose the feds could have made that page quickly and just decided to do a shitty job but at libertyreserve.com you can find a similar seizure but higher quality.

Here is one to compare it to that goes by protocol of many oi have seen in the past. the SR one does not. what does this mean? not sure but im not going to spill misinformation about something i have no position to talk about without proof on either side. just keep in mind, we are not a community that takes what they are told at face value, and we should not start doing that today. lets get to the bottom of this wherever it may be.

ITS LIKE MY COURT LOST ALLL MY FILES AND IM CLEAN, WHICH U CAN SEE WHERE I WAS CHARGED, BUT OUT THE BLUE I GET A NOTICD FROM THE LAWYER I FUCKING PAID 6 GRAND TO TAKE MY CASES WHICH WERE BOTH FELONYS 5 YEARS FOR 1 10 YEARA FOR THE OTHER WAS THE MAX..ANYWAY HE DIED, WELL HIS SONS OFFICE WENT ON WITH MY ISSUE AND I GET A LETTER TELLING ME IM NOT NEEDED TO BE SEEN ANYMORE IN COURT ALL CHARGES WERE DISPOSED... I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!!

It's not wishful thinking; the site is without question gone. I've already accepted that. And DPR, or someone presumed to DPR, (depending who you ask) has been arrested. But that seizure page is fake.
It's not the water mark either. That's the last thing I noticed and it's really the best part of the whole page?
And it's not just me. Others have noticed that it doesn't match any other widely circulated civil asset forfeiture seizure notices which are a MUCH higher quality than this one. They don't seize 'hidden sites', they seize domain names. The Feds have a sense of humor?
Am I saying it's some elaborate conspiracy theory? No. Do I know why the page is fake? No. I just know it is. I'm not trying to convince you. I think people are just talking about it because that's what they're see. It doesn't remotely resemble their Government's pages on many of it's other seizures. Their much higher quality. The one here is pixelated mess. Their use the same form on every site. I don't know why people get angry about that. I'm NOT trying to say it's coming back.

what if the guy they arrested is just one of the admins or forum mods willing to sacrifice themselves for "the cause", and the real DPR was in fact 10 steps ahead of the police the whole time, and used this raid as a distraction in order to set up his newer, more anonymous site, that all of our bitcoins got transferred to. I would literally pee my pants if that happened. It would be the most badass thing of all time. I know this probably isnt going to happen, but how cool would that be?

1) They cited the wrong fucking statute - S18 983 (civil seizure) instead of S18 982 (criminal seizure)
2) The image quality is utter shit and looks different than normal seizures
3) The SR camel is in the background
Weak reasons:
4) "Hidden Site" has been seized? [this one is weak, but still, it usually says domain]
5) Camel is still there in the title slot the tab

Yeah I lo9ked up the code too. I didn't bring that part up because I'm definitely not a legal expert, but it sounded wrong. I almost want to say that they can do a civil seizure because it's quicker and has a lower burden of proof, but again, not sure

Jpeg Snoop gives the following info about the seizure image. I find it interesting that Photoshop or Illustrator are not listed as matching the compression sig - since my guess is that the FBI could afford Photoshop. Wouldn't really imagine them using GIMP or some of these other programs.

That is a possibility...
I think we'll just have to wit until a bit further down the track to find out exactly what happened.
And I doubt a SR admin would give out information that freely to the forum mods.
It would be great if this was only some sort of temporary thing. Time will tell.
Then I can get my $12K back.

This would be the most bad ass thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life, but it is what it is, just wishful thinking among a heartbroken collective of souls.
Thank you though for putting a big smile on my face, imagining "the real DPR" throwing on a pair of shades and grinning ear to ear as the US Government kicks dirt around in frustration.

Want to say that the camel in background is less questionable to us then the seizure notice in the 1st place.
There is NOTHING to seize, it is not a domain, it is a cryptographic function. You can't seize it. "Hidden Site" ?
Many things can be wrong here, we agree but try not to spread FUD.
BUT - there is someone arrested and LE believes that person is DPR and the site is down. These are FACTS and there is no hoax.
IF the arrest happen as said at 3:15pm PST on 10/1, and there was a dead man switch of sorts or it took awhile for others to find out and enact shutdown procedures that could explain the odd notice. These things are really not relevant right now and only spread Uncertainty and Doubt.
There is also very little doubt in our minds that on July 23rd LE DID get a live image of the running SR web server.
So whether the seizure notice is real or part of a shutdown plan don matter much right now. LE did get an image at one point and that is a TREASURE trove of information. And there IS a person under arrest that LE strongly believes is DPR.
Throwing around conspiracy theories and focusing on the seizure notice is not helpful right now. Maybe it's best not to look to deeply into it right now.....
