Doesn't hurt to try, but I think your feeling is right. A lot of people just made orders and a) got their don't sent but did not yet finalize b) don't know if the vendor sent the order yet or c) made the order and the vendor did not send it yet.
A lot of people are out a lot of money. I am thankful that I never used the site for anything other than browsing

Hi, Ive only got 1 post so i cant post in the thread, but its obviously a fake picture, look at the bottom where his tool bar is, its like mine, can see through it to see whats open laying behind it, you can see the white pages he has open, do not match/lineup with the SR page he has open, its obviously a photoshop from a screen shot he took previously, set ontop a screen shot he took in the last ten minutes.. Please tell everyone on the thread, i dont understand why people do this, it discredits any credibility they have,

This is fucking ridiculous, I post up giving an insight on what I can see with a screenshot, not as proof, just so you can see what I can see, not for you all to turn around and start saying that my screenshot is faked? Look at the time the screenshot was taken to the time it was posted (minutes apart).
I don't have a clue why the boxes aren't in alignment, probably because SR is fucked right now?

Yeah I believe OP. I keep getting a lot of weird errors on the forum. One minute I can access a thread the next I can't because of an error page with the SR logo "sorry we cannot complete your request" or something like that. Please gov'ment jus' leave me alone. I's got a iphone so you can listen to my calls. I's a good citizen I promise.

^^^nah bro its legit, the mods confirm it as well as it is all over the news pages, especially credible sources, including FORBES which has the follow up edition to the interview edition of DPR, its sad i wish it was all BS, but it is looking really really true.

^^im pretty sure DPRs crew, is suppose to have an emergency plan in place if this were to ever happen and they were suppose to be able to access the site, route it through different channels, and keep the business running smoothly but im not quite sure yet what his staff is doing, i see the mods posting here and there but i would be trying to figure out how to get things up and running, to show the DPR is a persona and we will continue to live that persona out no matter what LE gets in our way , there are too many of us out there, and we are too strong as a community.

The site is dead, and I'm NOT even pretending to know what happened. I'm NOT saying that nobody got arrested yesterday. I'm NOT even saying there wasn't a bust.
But the one thing that is fucking clear is that the seizure notice on the SR site is an amateur fake, which is why there's a fucking watermark of the SR logo on it. They don't custom design seizure notices, so it's not the Feds being cute as some people claim. I don't understand why someone would use such an obvious fake when there are so many copies available on the web, but it doesn't matter at the end of the day.
Christ you can even download them in pdf format from the government's civil forfeiture website, so I don't get it.
Seizure notices say "this DOMAIN name has been seized," NOT "this HIDDEN SITE has been seized." Who knows why, but the NOTICE is fake! The images are low-res garbage that look like they've been scanned by a shitty scanner. Wikipedia has better images of the US government ensignias. The format is different. The fonts are different.

I'm sorry but you really have to be ignorant of LEOs history with underground websites to think a friggin SR watermark means the notice is fake. They live for that kind of stuff, go back and look at what they did with Shadowcrew...

For the people that say the water mark is fake I would like to point out that if me memory serves me well FullTilt Poker had their logo in the back ground when they were seized. Speaking of them you have a week or two left put in a claim regain some of your money

Of course it doesn't say "DOMAIN". They didn't seize any domain as that is not possible with Tor infrastructure. There is no such thing as domains regarding hidden services. It's just a hash based on the public key of the HIDDEN SERVICE.

I did a google image search of the full tilt poker seizure notice and can't locate one which has the logo in the background..

all I can say is that you are all welcome to believe that this is an elaborate hoax perpertrated by the US government. As it's not April 1, I'm not really seeing why they're doing it but go crazy with your theories. I'll just say that the government is in shutdown mode atm so all non essential staff are not only laid off but have been told that if they access their work accounts then they'll be disciplined. My guess is that since they have no clerical staff, one of them got volunteered to create the takedown notice. Whatever the reason for it though, it's done and the site is gone. Get over it.
Seriously guys, haven't you read the document they used to get the arrest warrant? This isn't some April Fool.

Your examples all seem to be for domain seizures for IP violations. I seem to recall having seen some in the past with the original homescreen image as a 'watermark' but I cannot remember when or for which sites. In any case, this was not a domain seizure (it's primarily a server seizure), did not involve the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center and did involve the DEA, meaning that a new notice was required anyway.
Considering that the server now being in the hands of LE has been widely reported by the mass media, along with official statements of the fact by authorities involved, who do you think put the notice up on it?

I agree. I thought it was set up with the DPR persona so that if any one individual retires, dies, or is arrested, the community would continue on. Did the government succeed in driving enough fear into those that can reestablish the site to hold their efforts towards doing so? Or, are there efforts being made towards relaunching the site without stating it in the forum until things are more substantiated? United we stand, divided we fall.

I remember being on here much of the time when SR was down for that week earlier this year, and hit the all time high for users... no such error occurred all that week (I was logged in much of the time). And atm SRF has about 100 less users than that peak.
I'm telling you... this error takes you to the SR site. Probably an attempt to grab IP's imo... some sort of exploit perhaps like freedomhosting?

Fair enough about the seizure notices (they are still the same agencies though). The point was more about the quality of the images on the official documents versus the graininess of the ones here. Well... not /quite/ the same agencies, as I've not previously seen one including the DEA. As for the image quality:
This is what happened to the SC forums long long ago... very similar shitty looking graphic - was 100% legit. The feds are childish, don't doubt they would put the camel faded in the background of their seizure image...
