Title: GoodForNothing has been demoted- I have orders FE'd!
Post by: AuXman on August 29, 2013, 01:26 am
Goodfornothing has been my most trusted seller and i currently have a $2000 order that was FE'd like I have always done. Now that it looks like he will either be hard or impossible to communicate with him along with him not having a sellers account that needs positive ratings anymore, I am concerned. Could someone from SR please explain if I have any recourse if my package does not arrive (doubtful) and if they know any information regarding why goodfornothing was demoted or if it was his choice to relinquish his sellers account.

Thanks,
AuXman

Most likely there would have been too many complaints from buyers, and his Seller's privileges have now been revoked.

You also FE'd. You now have no recourse via SR Staff. Once you FE'd, he/she most likely cashed out straight away.

Now the Vendor's account has been demoted to a regular account. You will most likely NOT receive any cash back, unless GoodForNothing magically decides to send your BTC back to you.

Consider it a lesson learnt: do NOT FE for big orders, or any orders unless you really have to.

FTR is correct, you cannot get support with finalized orders. Your only recourse right now will be to petition the vendor directly and see if they will come to an agreement with you, I hope you get  result but I fear it is doubtful.

FTR- I would be surprised if he was revoked due to complaints. He was the most solid mdma seller for Americans and he had nothing but killer reviews and this was my third order with him. His operation was legit. I believe it would have had to been revoked for something else. He had been killing it in the mdma game for over a year and we had communicated  about the volume of work we would be doing this winter and fall. I don't understand why SR would do this to an account while there are active orders. Couldn't they stop the seller from being able to make new orders while allowing his account to be operational to close out the orders in transit? Or give him a warning and also warn potential customers that he was at risk of losing his sellers rights? It seems unfair to the customer. I understand I FE'd but that is somewhat normal when you are making large orders without a long record of purchases yet. Take a look around at some of the larger orders being offered from out of country. I hope my order was placed in the mail before his account was closed, that is my best scenario.

im in the similar boat with another vendor and i was on his page literally 10 hrs before he got demoted and i have no idea what to think i have used them several times with no problem and ratings were perfect, im just at such a lost to what could have happened to get demoted, cause i know some vendors who are scamming and have scammed people that still have open accounts so i have no idea what is the real issue and have been searching all night for any answer to these demotions.

Well there are certain rules that Vendor accounts must adhere to or they will be demoted. Here are some form the Seller's Guide:

Directing customers to pay outside the escrow system or in currencies other than Bitcoin
Leaving fake feedback for yourself from a dummy buyer account
Saving customer addresses
Claiming to have sent an order when you haven't
Threatening customers

We realise that sometimes, even with an established vendor, you have to FE. It just appears that you drew the short straw this time and the Vendor was demoted.

Genuine sympathy from our team.

Update: GoodForNothing delivered and it shows what kind of vendor he is, one of the better and more trustworthy on SR. I hope SR has a good explanation for his demotion, he will let me know when he gets back from vacation what it is about. My anger in this whole situation lies with SR and how they deal with these demotions. They need to figure out a way that warns and notifies the customers on potential demotions and why they are doing it. We deserve to know.

I've always wondered.. if a seller gets demoted and they still have orders in transit, what happens when the customers finalize ? Does the seller still get the btc ?

Yes, if a vendor is demoted and they have orders in transit the funds are released to them if / when the buyers finalize. The logic behind that is that if the vendor has sent the order they deserve to be paid for it, and if they haven't sent the order the buyer will take it to resolution and request a 100% refund.

Is GoodForNothing trustworthy so long as you remain in escrow? I've been away from SR for a while and I'm not really clear on what this demotion thing means, but he seems like one of the better vendors for medium weight.

Even if SR did notify customers a vendor is going to be demoted as the order was FE'd in SR eyes the transaction is finished the buyer has the product so would not inform anyway only orders in escrow would need to be informed

Purchased 50 grams about 3 days ago.

Vendor messages me back an hour after purchasing saying he doesn't have the colored rocks I requested so I had to choose between the amber colored or the one I wanted but all crushed up. He also says to message him ASAP because I guess he's sending it the next day or something. I message him back fast and it's been 3 days now and it says he's been on today so I don't know what to think anymore. There's people saying on other forums about waiting like a fucking week to process.. If your going to purchase, get ready to wait a lonnnnng time. I truly believe he is real. However he is the fucking worst when it comes to communicating. No communication whatsoever. I'm still waiting and was really expecting for it to be sent before the weekend. That's all I got to say for now..

May I ask what happens if a tier 1 seller asks you to pay by transferring money to them via the main site, (which is against policy i have just found out) you do so, (scammed) but the vendor gets demoted. Do you recieve money back?

No you don't. If you engage in OOE transactions with a vendor that result in the vendors demotion the transfer of coins is technically no different from finalizing, the coins are with the recipient and SR cannot help you recover them.

Use escrow if you want to avoid issues, simple.

This is naive I can hardly stand it. You must not have to work very hard for your money to respect it so little. Maybe you don't need it so bad if you are willing to FE on 2,000$ when you know full well the risk you take.
