Title: Use SMF word filter to stop phishing scams in forums
Post by: terpene on July 16, 2013, 07:56 am
Why don't admin/mods use the built in word filter in SMF to change the text on the common Atlantis phishing site to something else?

Easy and automatic and stops this shit dead in its tracks immediately.

I appreciate that.

Is there an accepted process for suggesting such stuff via admin/mods, or is it beholden of forum members to send him stuff - I'm sure he'll just love the great unwashed filling his inbox with all kinds of meaningless shite ..

cheers

I've asked libertas to clarify how users can help get in contact to make this process more efficient and hopefully hear something back soon
