Title: Probable PM Scam Involving Update
Post by: livestr0ng on July 15, 2013, 07:36 am
I haven't seen a thread on this so I decided to start one. While online today, I got a PM titled "Get Your $$$$'s Worth On Silk Road!" The body said

"Are you tired of browsing through 100's of Silk Road listings just to find the best deal?
We are too!

Try the New Tool That Makes Silk Road Much Easier To Use:
   * Sort Listings by $/mg to quickly find the best value
   * Filter by where listings ship from
   * Filter by total price, seller rating, and more!

Check it out at:

I think it's safe to say that's a phishing site. Whatever it is, its not something I want to click on. By the way, the name of the user is DianaHayes77691.

Yes, it's a scam.  If you don't want to receive private messages from these spammers, it's probably best to go into your forum profile settings and make sure that "show when i'm online" is not selected.

3 different scams going on at once, it's getting kind of bad, isn't it?

Yeah but 2-3 times I've had a noob ask me for help because they saw I was online. And that kind of thing just makes me feel special...like I'm one of the big kids or something.

P.S. Hi new mod!
