I haven't noticed any of the Moderators in a while, are you there Libertas, Scout, SSBD?
edit: come to think of it, not heard from DPR either. Silk Road staff holiday? ???

I've been busy with Admin duties on the main site so haven't been able to frequent the forums as much as I used to. Rest assured we're not lying in the Caribbean sun drinking cocktails and taking in the sights that I'm sure a Caribbean beach has to offer; I, for one, haven't even seen the sun in days. :'( :P

Apologize if there is already a thread about this, but it appears you got upgraded to Admin here, at least I could have swore your user rights were global mod before. ;) Always good to have at least 2 of them, in order to balance the load or allow one to work more full time on issues that require admin permissions.
Congrats if that's in order :) Who knows, maybe you had another user account with admin priv's for all I know and simply decided to throw this user name in that user group too.
If you did recently get upgraded, and others have noticed a lack of mod presence, maybe there was some restructuring going on lately?
But you also mentioned you were doing admin duties on the main site, always nice to know there's more then DPR doing admin tasks. I have no idea how many people are working behind the scenes, but it seems that there's a backlog of issues so hopefully DPR is able to increase his staff count. I'd hate to think SR is seriously understaffed and therefore everyone is being run ragged. ;D Don't want anyone getting addicted, due to pressure at work.

You can't please everyone. The site is running well at the moment yet some people still want to whinge! How about a little gratitude instead. They do volunteer their time.

Some may use PGP, some privnote, but for me dry sarcasm hiding in plain sight works best. I was raised on it. I sometimes speak it in my sleep!
Seriously though, enjoy it. You guys deserve this vacation. The main site is working extremely well, and I see no forum matters going unattended to.
With laptops and WIFI, you have the ability to have "working vacations"! ;)
Libertas and the others' ability to be prescient, without being present, accounts for this well-oiled machine humming along like a finely tuned Porsche.
I'm sure there's a regiment of interns back at the batcave holding down the fort! ;D

I wasn't bitching or whinging. I was trying to ask whoever saw the thread and felt like replying if they had seen the Mods. I like the Mods, they do a good job and work long hours. They come across articulate and educated, unlike the two specimens of illiterate pond scum who chipped in with their 2pence worth in this thread.
