Title: Spam messages
Post by: DrCol on June 14, 2013, 04:40 pm
Is there any recourse that I can take to report and stop various continuing spammers to my PM - it's highly irritating.

Is there a way to flag/ban/discourage this appalling nonsense?

Thanks all

Please forward any of these spam messages to me and I will delete the accounts they are sent from however this has minimal impact as it only slows them down. The most effective method of avoiding being the recipient of these annoying messages is go into your forum account settings and turn off your on line status so you are hidden when online, they generally only send these messages who those that can see as listed as being online, as soon as you turn that off you should see an end to the messages in your inbox.

Hello.

I'm having the same problems, but these messages are occurring inside SR through the PM system.  I'm a Vendor, already receiving a number of PM's daily.  I logged on today to an extra 30 spam messages to weed through earlier today.

Is there anything I can do to prevent unwanted SR PM spam, any way to block an account completely?

Thank You!

To echo the others...I awoke this morning to 20+ PM INSIDE SR system....it makes my messaging system unusable....
If this continues I'll have to review my vendor status as it's exponential it seems and you're obviously finding it tough to cope with these infiltrations...

DPR is aware of the spam messages situation, and I'm sure he/she is working on it.

Yeah I know mate, I responded to a thread in the vendor roundtable. I've passed it up and DPR and the admins are aware of the issue, see what happens next I guess, a block sender option would be a start.
