Title: [SOLVED] vendor not responding, order in process 3 days now
Post by: bo bo on June 05, 2013, 11:10 pm
 What do I do now?
I paced my order 3 days ago and the order has remained in process so I cant click resolve. I tried to contact the vender these past 3 days, he has been seen every day, but he hasn't replied back.

Hi bo bo,

Vendors have 4 days (96 hours) to process an order from the time you place it. If they do not process it within this timeframe you will have the option to cancel it.

After 4 days and if I cancel, will the bitcoin automatically go back to my SR account?

Yes, but if the order was hedged you will lose the ~4% hedging fee; please also note that if the order is hedged you will receive back the USD value of the product in Bitcoin at the time of the cancellation, not the exact amount of Bitcoin that you paid for it. If the order is unhedged, you will receive back exactly what you paid in in Bitcoin.

Well I can't find any info in the transaction order if it was hedged but if I put the item in my cart again it said unhedged. hopefully that is the case with my order.

About how long should it take for the bitcoin return back to my Sr account?

On your account page, is the escrow balance for the order in the 'escrow (usd)' column or the 'escrow (btc)' column?

Your Bitcoin will be refunded immediately if you cancel the order.

It is escrow (btc)  and 0 escrow (usd) , but there is a different order mixed in with it that is in transit to me now.

Please post the vendors name if things go sour , and if you haven't done so already research the vendor in question on the forum for your own good .

Am I even allowed to post in this section ?

If not sorry .

Then yes, your order is unhedged and you will receive back the exact amount of Bitcoin that you paid in. :)

You're very welcome! :) The info is contained in the Buyer's Guide here:

When checking out, you will see which orders will be hedged and which won't. After the order is placed, your escrow balance will reflect the dollar value of your hedged orders and the Bitcoin value of your unhedged orders. All hedged orders are hedged as soon as the order is placed. So when getting a refund for hedged items, don't be surprised if the number of Bitcoins you get back is not the same as the amount you paid.
