I was about to make a purchase on sunday night, having just figured out how to PGP encrypt my address, but when I went to complete the sale (to enter into escrow, not finalize yet) I was asked to log in again. I have tried hundreds of times by now, and am sure my username/password are correct. I'm also sure that most of my verification code entries have been correct. I have a little over 9 btc that I transfered between saturday and sunday, so I am quite concerned with my not being able to log in. I have tried installing a new version of torbrowser, and have also attempted under a "new identity."
I have read several reddit and silkroad forum posts that describe this same problem, but I have yet to find any solutions. I'm fairly new to Silk Road, but I have looked fairly extensively around the web for solutions to this problem. It sounds like quite a few people have experienced the same lockout, and they have had to have their passwords reset. I haven't been able to find any reason why my account would have locked like that (especially in the middle of a purchase), so I'm assuming it's some sort of glitch. I have always used the correct URL, seeing as I bookmarked it from day one. Yesterday I created a new account and have had no trouble logging in. I have yet to hear back from SR support (who I messaged through my new account). My main concern is getting access to the 9+ btc (which were worth more when I was gonna make the transaction >:( but I'll be happy to cut my losses as long as I get something back). I'm hoping a moderator sees this and sorts it out. Thanks in advance for someone kind enough to help a noob out.

I wish we could, but there's nothing moderators can do to get you into your account any sooner. You'll need to wait to hear back from SR Support, which can take 24-48 hours even when there aren't delays.

hi i just tried joining silk road and everytime i log out and try and log back in i get forwarded to site is down page, but if i make a new account it lets me in ten if i log out and try and log back in again it tells me site is down again? i dont see any links for SR elp or anyting just a link to tis forum. can someone help or am i supposed to make a new account eac time never closing te tor browser? elp :)

SR is not down, and hasn't been down recently. You're at a phishing site. You need to go to the one and only CORRECT url for Silk Road and register a new account:

If you're seeing something along the lines of "The site is down for maintenance" then you are visiting a phishing site. The ONLY URL you should be visiting is:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
ALL other URLs that look like Silk Road are phishing sites. I would strongly recommend that you log in to your account at silkroadvb5piz3r.onion and change your passphrase and PIN immediately. Please note that Silk Road will never ask you for your PIN except when you are making a purchase on the 'Cart' page.
