Sorry guys I've done some reading and whatnot, but I need like a "for dummies" explanation of what to do in order to make just small purchases on SR. Can anyone please give info/suggestions? thanks!

first you need bitcoins. read about them on the bitcoin wiki (clearnet warning) bitcoin.it
then you need to figure out how to use pgp - don't skip this step, it will give you peace of mind and potentially keep you out of trouble. read about it on SR wiki
thats about it here are some tips:
send your stuff to your real name, don't use a fake name or anything else - you don't want to draw attention to the package.
don't talk about SR with your friend, I know its hard, i've done it myself, but its really better if you don't.
don't buy from vendors on SR that don't sell illegal stuff, imo these vendors are most likely to be LEO - this includes bitcoin vendors

yah the wiki has a lot of the information you will need
if you have specific questions ask in the newbie section and someone will help you
i dont really like the search feature in this forum but you can try that for specific things as well
