Title: Shortly to be new vendor uk - UK Cheese
Post by: terpene on May 31, 2013, 03:47 pm
I've got some loose ends to tie up in my professional life at the moment with work and shit, but I will ante up the vendor bond sometime soon and we shall test the water.

Now I want to be able to gauge the price I charge for my UK Cheese, so I am planning on sending out some samples so that you the buyer can tell me what price you think this weed is worth, I have my own ideas of course and already have some feedback to that effect, both in the 'real' world and on alternative marketplaces. I want to be able to take feedback and have some consensus (within reason) on what the stuff is worth.

I used to grow for local med clubs here in the UK, but the nature of serious illness means that I have some product available.

My question is :

Cheese has been hyped to hell and back ever since I can remember and I've had this cut since it was sent out from HAZ manor many many years ago. Its a subjective thing, but I do love the smoke. What is the perception of the cheese here on SR. I know some people are selling it (supposedly).

Is there a market here for UK cheese?

Oh and I've never seen clones for sale here or anywhere else - but whilst I've known of SR for maybe a couple of years now, I've not delved that deeply into the scene. Do thery ever get listed?

Enough from me for now : what do people think? Should I limit and send sample to specific people or come one come all?

Interested to hear your thoughts.

Hi terpene,

You will need to purchase a vendor account if you wish to receive address details from members for sample purposes. Keep in mind that the $500 vendor bond is fully refundable once the terms of the bond are met making a Silk Road vendor account essentially free.

You can read more about the bond here:

Hi Libertas

Yeah I know about the vendor bond, I mentioned it in the first line of the post.

I am simply trying to gauge the market.

Sorry if I wasn't clear or was appearing to collect addresses in an underhand way - that will all come soon when I stump up the necessary... ;)

I saw that, I just wanted to clarify that a vendor bond will be required before samples can be sent out - many people try to offer samples first, then decide whether to upgrade to a vendor account or not.

Regarding your product, UK Cheese is generally very well received. I don't smoke myself but others tell me that it's a very 'unique' strain, so I imagine you would have no problem shifting large amounts if the price is right and your stealth packaging is up to scratch.

As far as clones go, they have their own category on the marketplace which you can view here:
http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/category/318

Perhaps checking out the items listed by those vendors will give you a better idea as to whether it is a viable business model or not.

Best of luck with your venture if you decide to go ahead with it. :)

Ah! Sorry didn't know that.  My intention was to garner opinion on whether I should invite specific people to sample or let all have a go. My bad.

Ensure that you do not have the 'Domestic only' box ticked when viewing the categories - that is the most likely reason for seeing no results. There are currently 7 clone listings on the marketplace, some of which seem to sell incredibly well. :)

Would love some cheese to become available from the Uk, my local dealer doesn't get the stuff anymore.

Would definitely purchase.

these past few years all uk has had is blue cheese, if your stuff is different to most dealer on street, meaning it smell good, it fluffy, its profesional cut and grow, u can fetch decent price.

It is the exodus cut cheese from HAZ manor in Luton.

The original that everyone tries to copy or cross or self etc etc.

Set your home country to 'undeclared' and again, make sure the 'Domestic only' box is unchecked.
