Title: How to I get my lost BTC back (Accidentally deleted the address on BitFoG)
Post by: jorgecassio on May 31, 2013, 01:30 pm
I have all the blockchain info and the deposit address I used along with the exact amount I deposited. I'm at a lost as to how to go about retrieving my funds.

I've never used the BitFoG service, but I'm inclined to say "it's gone forever."  The problem is that whatever address you sent the bitcoins to is in possession of those coins.  If it's a tumbler service then I assume whatever address you said you want it ultimately sent to will end up in possession of those coins.  If you "deleted" the information for that address via BitFoG or any other service... there's no way to recover it unless you somehow regain access to that bitcoin address.

Hopefully that generic info is enough of an answer for you.

Is it possible to regain access to a Bitcoin address? I do know what the address is, it's only that BitFog Generated it.

Try mailing BitcoinFog's support crew - they seem reputable enough so should be able to help you out.

Like Libertas advised, it's probably best to try to get in touch with Bitcoin Fog's support (which you can find a link to once you've logged into your account there).

If you deleted the receiving address on your "Deposit" page at Bitcoin Fog, then you may be out of luck (I think it warns you that deleting it will mean any funds sent there will be lost) ... but it's still worth asking their Support team.

Awesome! Did you message Bitcoin Fog's support about it? Just so we know in case others have a similar issue in future. :)
