Title: Did I get totally screwed???
Post by: justanotherlamename on May 31, 2013, 02:18 am
Ok guys I recently made two purchases from an h vendor with a very good reputation.  My first was a larger order with express shipping, which was never received even after a week, but the second, smaller order from in came in just fine.

The problem was that I decided to ask the vendor to cancel my second order, and just go through with the first since it was still processing and the other order hadn't been received when expected.

After I messaged the cancellation request, my first larger order disappeared from my orders page, and I could not finalize or leave feedback . . . it was just gone.  The second smaller order that I didn't want came in today but I do not want to finalize because I'm afraid the vendor screwed me over seeing as how he won't answer any of my messages.

I'm posting because I'm rather new to the road and do not really know what to do.  Should I resolve the second order when the option becomes available?  Just finalize and leave terrible feedback?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi justanotherlamename,

I need you to clarify the situation a little:

You say that you made two purchases, and that the first (large order) was not received. The second  purchase was a smaller order, and it was received.

You then say that you had asked the vendor to cancel the small order and "just go through with the first (the large order??) since it was still processing and the other order hadn't been received when expected" - what other order are you talking about?? There were only two: the large and the small. The large order was cancelled and you were refunded your money for it. This left only the small order, which you say WAS received. What is the "other order that hadn't been received when expected"?

The order I am saying was not received was indeed the first, larger, one.  And although it looks like this larger order was simply cancelled by the vendor, the trouble is I did not receive a refund and have lost about $140 where it stands now.  The vendor is remains unresponsive after over a week of having not received my order

If the order was cancelled then you would have received a refund. You'll need to elaborate on what actually occurred to result in the cancellation and whether or not you finalised early on it.
