Hey, I'm new, no transactions at all. Anything I should definitely know/do while buying?

I'm new here too but thats a pretty open ended question.  Maybe a more specific question would help others help you more.  Have you read the (very few) stickies yet?

Yeah I have. I think I figured out PGP pretty well too but the whole buying process confuses me a little. Like, what exactly is FE?

FE is Finalize early which you should always avoid,
Its where you release your BTC out of escrow before recieving product

probably a stupid question too, what's escrow lol I can't find exactly what it is. I got my bitcoins in a wallet right now. Is it like when youre doing the transaction when it comes up?

Escrow is where SR (silk road) holds your money as a unbiased third party. When you receive the product you release the escrow and the seller gets his money.

It really does help to read the guides to the Silk Road, but if something doesn't make sense to you, then never feel stupid for asking questions. Why else would these forums exist? In fact, asking questions is a great way to learn, there are some very smart people here in these water...
