Title: $$ tied up w/ banned vendor
Post by: streetmodo on May 27, 2013, 02:16 pm
wanted to post here before opening a support ticket.

i placed an order w/ vendor 'good drugs' within escrow. i noticed lots of recent suspicious feedback, and now the vendor no longer has a profile. the order was marked in transit (but not actually shipped cuz i did not agree to FE), and now my $$ is tied up in escrow. do i have to wait 10 days to put this into resolution or is there a way for SR staff to expedite the return of this $$?

Hi streetmodo,

The vendor 'good drugs' was suspended today for scamming and padding their own feedback. Kudos for staying in escrow! :) Regarding getting your money back, yes, you will have to wait until the resolution option becomes available to you and request a 100% refund. This refund will not affect your purchasing stats.

Can sellers really build up their OWN feedback? How?

I imagine they take some of the  bitcoin they still havent cashed out, and buy their own product, they keep the money and get more feedback

I think they just make a 0 BTC listing and buy that.

Vendors padding their feedback generally post a low priced listing, purchase them from any number of buyer accounts created for this purpose, then change the price of the item to make it look like a large number of people bought it and they look legit.

This is countered by the feedback score, however, which is determined by 'buyer weight'; you can read more about that here:
