Post by: methamatician on May 27, 2013, 02:34 am
Hi, A vendor recently messaged me to say that he has sent my order to the wrong adress by mistake,he would like me to go to resolution so that he may offer me a refund.
The problem is that resolution is 7 days away and i do not want a refund as it will affect my buyer stats, what can i do?
Below is a copy of our communications thus far.I have deleted the name of the vendor as i felt it innapropriate to post his name

We regret to inform you that your item was shipped to the wrong address by mistake. Please bring click on the resolution button to bring the order to the SR resolution center where we can issue you a refund.

Apologies,

         Thank you for your order!

If you can FE it would be of great help to us. It is not required, just a courtesy. We are largely a consignment operation and therefore      would like to get our bitcoins cashed out as quickly as possible. If you can help, we will offer a 10% bonus on your next order plus we will  include in your current order two free samples of any of our listed items.

      Much love,

It is my understanding that the Silk Road staff can decide if a refund effects stats or not. If it is made clear that it was not you fault then you should be fine.

Another way would be if the vendor sent you the refund directly to your wallet.

I would think that in this case, the refund would NOT count against your stats.  You could take it to resolution and mention that in your post there ... staff might be able to reassure you about it.

To be honest this smells a little bit like a scam to me. Vendor claims to have sent the item to the wrong address, wants you to Finalise and offers a 10% bonus & two free samples as incentive for doing so. Who is the vendor, methamatician?

Whatever you do, do not FE on this order.

Pretty sure this vendor is ImportConnection, as he sent me the same thing.  Since he has already been confirmed a scammer and had vendor status revoked (and we didn't FE!), I trust we'll be getting our refund, though I'm not entirely sure how the process works, if we have to wait for resolution or if it affects our stats, etc.

Ah, if that is the case then my nose was correct on that one! :) You will indeed receive a full refund - simply take the order to resolution when the option becomes available to you and request 100%. Refunds in cases where the vendor has had their vending privileges revoked do not affect your stats. :)

You guessed it mate. Is there any way to get this to resolution any quicker? or do i have to wait until it goes to resolution center.
You have a good nose Libertas.
Thank you all for the help so far.

You'll have to wait until the resolution button becomes available, I'm afraid. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience but very glad to hear you stayed in escrow! :)

Exact same message I got from the same vendor. I emailed customer support and they said vendor is being investigated.   I can tell it's the same vendor by the sign off.  I too stayed in escrow

I have written to the vendor suggesting he do just that, refund into my wallet.Funnily enough though still waiting on a reply.
What really bites me is that there is a few more days before resolution and i am only a couple of $ away from buying sum coke that i have been wanting to try.Guess i will have to deposit more btc,as i dont see this ending before resolution.

A vendor is not going to refund you before an order is finalised. ??? Take it to resolution when the option becomes available to you as I stated earlier.

Thread locked as resolved.
