Title: Getting a refund process
Post by: TrailerParkHero on May 25, 2013, 06:29 pm
So I won't name any names just yet. I never wanted to go through this process like anyone else. I have been dealing with a vendor for over a month now, with a few things in resolution center. I know it is a sellers market, I need to know exactly what I need to equip myself with in going to SR staff about getting this resolved. I have asked if their is tracking, and have been told they do not use it with their packages. I have been told to wait 5 more days, then 6 more days, and I think it's obvious it is not coming. It was my first international order, and I understand it's the name of the game. They have been giving out 50% refunds, but should I go for more, or just cut my losses? After weeks of talking, I am all of a sudden told I had a reship. I was told it reshipped 3 days after my initial marked in transit order, which makes no sense to me. All comments welcome, and constructive criticism. I have watched rating go from 99 and just plummet from the time I ordered with confidence. Thank you PS: I have no idea how to contact SR about this matter, that process would also be very helpful thank you.

Believe I answered my own question about the process. Looks like I was snooping around in Res Center, and noticed that someone will step in after it expires.. I guess my only question is what are my chances, and what do I need to have?

You say you have been dealing with a vendor for over a month yet it was your first O/S order??  ??? That doesn't make sense to me.  ??? When a buyer places their order, THEY choose a postage option from the one's available. Surely you know that not all mail is tracked? If you want tracking (usually Express or Registered post in my neck of the woods), you would of had to of selected it during checkout when you placed your order. Tracking is a little more expensive than Regular Post from my experience. You are aware that it's not unusual for an International Order to take 20, sometimes up to 30 Business days to arrive?
You need to submit any evidence you have which supports your case such as any correspondence between the vendor and yourself. Once you open a Dispute in the Resolution Center, you MUST send all messages about the case to the vendor or SR Admins through the RC. IMO, a 50% refund is fair to both parties but the choice is solely up to you.

Hi TrailerParkHero,

I presume you're doing all of this in the resolution center, yes?
