Hello Vendor gotmilk

We have received numerous erroneous login attempts from your vendor account - http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/user/98079f2164
Due to the ongoing problem of vendor accounts being hacked we have now setup a safe vendor verification system.
This will mitigate against any hacking attempts to your account and allow a quick verification so you can safely continue your business on the Silk Road.

Your account will only be verified once.

The vendor verification system can be accessed here - http://qx6fu5c6hclebylr.onion/vendor/---(erased)

If we do not have your verification details within 72 hours your account will be suspended for your own safety and you will need to contact SR support to re-enable your vendor account.

Thank you for your support

- SR Support

Its official, it is now more profitable to scam vendors than to become one.

These guys the phishers and scammers are losers. SR never bothers vendors and if there is an Issue DPR makes an announcement or the Admin here.

Thanks for making the community aware of that, gotmilk. Even though you have, I know we're unfortunately going to be getting messages over the next 24 - 48 hours from vendors stating that they've been locked out of their accounts but they "definitely weren't phished." It's going to be a lllllong start to the week! :(

At least they're dumb enough to use fake signatures, so you can prove it's a scam within 30 seconds.

That's definitely one thing we have on our side - the ability to prove that the signature is complete BS.

this is probably a stupid question so i apologize in advance lol
but when your writing a public message for pm or a forum post like this, couldn't you just copy and paste the correct signature into the message?

Lol, I don't think most of the vendors fully understand how PGP works. Its kind of sad how low the bar is set to become one. The ones that don't use PGP period need to be suspended IMO.

I agree that it seems like there are an awful lot of vendors who either don't use PGP at all, or use it but don't know how to verify signatures.  It all sounds more complicated than it actually is, and I think that intimidates people into complacency.
