I place an order with a vendor for 3 items but it seems one of the items has duplicated. I don't know how this is possible as I never had enough BTC of the total order that is processing. I sent a PM to the vendor anyway.

Hi somepup,
Do you mean that the order went through for 2 of the same item, even though you didn't have enough BTC to cover the order?

Yes that's right. I would have been about $20 short but it still went through to processing. I contacted the vendor and he's aware of it too but I'm not sure how to proceed from here. I finalised the other 3 orders and left the other listing marked in-transit.

Hmm, that is a strange one. Is your account showing a negative balance?

No it's shwing what the balance would have been minus the listing that was duplicated.

Sorry, just a little confused from the wording:
Did you get charged for the original item?
Did you get charged for the duplicate item, or did it go through and just not charge you for it?
What does your 'account balance' currently show?

That is very strange indeed.
Please send a message to SR Support explaining the situation as there's nothing more we can do from here. :-\
