Title: Please fix "your IP was blah blah so many seconds ago"

We are all the same IP. You would think they would have fixed this irritating bug by now.

Hi uniwiz,

As far as I'm aware it's not possible to fix that for the very reason that you mentioned - I'm not sure if it's solely a Tor issue or also a shortcoming in the SMF forum software but to the best of my knowledge it cannot currently be done.

As far as I'm aware it's not possible to fix that for the very reason that you mentioned - I'm not sure if it's solely a Tor issue or also a shortcoming in the SMF forum software but to the best of my knowledge it cannot currently be done.

There is an option DPR has in the control panel to specify the maximum amount of searches per time interval, however as all connections will appear to be from 127.0.0.1 it cannot differentiate between users, only the IP which is a security feature built into the software. As searches take vastly greater resources than standard forum browsing activities, I imagine DPR has kept it in place to ensure the volume of searches does not overload the server. Just try the search 2-3 times and generally it should work, mine do usually by at least the 2nd attempt.
