Title: HELP PLEASE!

Hey customer support, This has happened twice now and its getting really annoying.
I made an account a couple of weeks back and put in an order which came no problem but a couple of days after it arrive I couldn't access my account anymore. At first i thought it was just me being an idiot and forgetting my password but i tried everyone i could remember but it didn't work.

So I made a new account and have just sent out an order last night but yet again this morning i can't access my account.

I need to Finalize my order still, what shall i do?

Need advice please!!! Is my computer compromised?

Hi counterpart123,

Please ensure that you have installed the latest update for the Tor Browser Bundle. If that does not work, uninstall Tor completely, then reinstall. Ensure you backup any bookmarks beforehand. If that does not solve the problem, run an antivirus / antimalware scan, specifically looking for any keylogger or rootkit that might have infiltrated your system.

One other thing to make sure of is that you are using CAPS in the correct places, if necessary, or ensure that your CAPS lock is not turned on etc.

Please let me know if any of the above solve the problem, or if it still occurs after trying all of the steps.

Hi, thanks for your help. I have tried all the steps you have suggested but still cant access my account.

I removed tor browsers completely then downloaded the latest package.

I ran a complete anti virus scan as well as a full malware scan but only came up with a some adware. (i'm abit of a noob so not sure the scan i ran was completely sound but it the best i could do and it seemed to scan extensively)

Yea i am 99% sure im typing the same password in. After it happened first time i was sure i wouldn't forget it and i accessed it multiple times yesterday, im sure its right but still won't let me get in!

What do you suggest? I sent an order through last night so I just needs finalizing then I don't really care about the account.

I just registered a test account and am having no problems logging in to it, nor staying logged in which suggests that the problem is not a Silk Road issue; however, please try the following:

Ensure you're visiting silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
Enter a simple username
Enter a simple password (such as 12345 - note: this is ONLY for testing purposes)
Enter the captcha

Are you able to register a new account and stay logged in using those details?

yea i am able to log in and out of a test account.

If it's all working with a test account then it seems like you'll have to get on to SR Support and get them to reset your passphrase. It is possible that your account has been compromised due to entering your details into a phishing site or else by having a keylogger / datalogger on your system.

No problem, sorry I couldn't be of more help in this instance! Please note that Support are currently experiencing a large backlog so may not be able to get back to you for 48 - 72 hours. Apologies for that as well, but it's completely beyond my control!

Let us know here when they get back to you and the issue is resolved. :)

I contacted the seller from my tester account and they said someone has requested to cancel the order i posted.

Is there anything i can do to stop it being cancelled?

Nothing from customer support yet... I don't want to lose out!!

If that is the case then your account has been compromised. This can only occur if you enter your login details (and usually PIN) into a site that is NOT silkroadvb5piz3r.onion, or if you have had a keylogger installed on your system. Silk Road will NEVER ask you for your PIN.

The person in control of your account is trying to cancel your order so as your Bitcoin will be refunded to your account and they can then withdraw it. There is no way to stop the vendor cancelling your order other than explaining that your account has been compromised and asking them not to do so.

Contact SR Support IMMEDIATELY letting them know that your account has been compromised and you need to have your passphrase and PIN reset. You can directly message them here:
