Title: MISFIT7 - scamming vendors.
Post by: skitta78 on May 12, 2013, 03:37 am
Just had a buyer saying they were short 0.05BTC to make a purchase. So we came to agreement and I sent over the 0.05 being the trustful idiot I am and now he/she says still 0.02 short. I made custom listing and added free postage and arranged for FE and reduced total price by $6. Now Ive got no no response back from this person and been ripped for 0.05BTC which is about $7 around about.

Any Buyer by name "misfit7" is a scammer. probably doing this all day and collecting BTC from vendors promising to make puchase but collecting enough out of them all to go buy some smack or meth.
Vendors beware!!

Why didn't you just create a Gift Code for 0.05 BTC that was only redeemable to your store? ???

There have been soooooooo many people doing this since the beginning.  Not sure if it's the same person creating a new alias every time or what, but they'll never leave you alone ... they'll just keep asking for "oh, MAN I JUST NEED .0000000002 MORE BTC!  Actually no, I need 5 BTC SO CAN YOU GIVE AT LEAST 4.5?  no?  OKAY WELL EVEN .002 WILL HELP SEND TO THIS BTC ADDRESS."

No Ive just learned a lesson. Im glad it was only 0.05BTC but Ill never waste my time with this sort request again.
The Irony is I requested about the same amount here on this forum around 2 weeks ago. I paid back the lendor total + 100% interest just cos it was nice thing to do. I guess its stupid to expect everyone to be honest. Id feel like a bit of a low life thief doing something like this and not paying back. Its just the principle of it.
For now Im just not going to pay attention to beggars. The community here have been so nice I kinda forgot that scammers are out on the prowl looking for an easy fix.
I hope other Vendors dont fall for the same trick.

Same exact thing happened to me, brother.  This was two days ago, I think, then I had someone else hit me up today.  This time, I had sense enough to say no...
