Title: Converting BTC TO USD
Post by: thedankbankeraliveandwell on May 10, 2013, 09:22 am
Hello friends

I'm a relatively unheard of vendor.
It's late and i'm half asleep so i'm not going to sound as articulate as I usually like to but...
i'm looking for tips on how to convert btc to usd, seems like its getting harder and harder but i need to figure this out inorder to keep things flowing. I know of peer to peer transfers, but we've been getting about 100 BTC each week and it hasnt been easy to find someone who will buy that many off of us.  Please share any advice if you have any. God bless

campbx is good from what I hear.  I've been thinking about using them as my exchange.

I'm not sure of what they require of you for withdrawals.

I can say NOT mtgox. They are pretty famous for asking for verification if they think something smells fishy

If you plan to spend any of that converted money you're going to have to make sure you launder it first!

Bitcoin-otc might be an option. If you have market prices you should be able to sell BTC pretty well there.

Might want to trade that for paypal (on anonymous account with a dedicated VPS IP for example) or Ukash and the like (that can be later on be used to get a virtual credit card)....

Another option would be to create a "bitcoin for cash" onion site where you'd sell directly btc for cash in the mail. Or to sell on sites like localbitcoin and accept only cash....

The BTC would need to be moved around before though, to cut as much as possible any link with SR..

Good luck :)

i APPRECIATE  all of you for taking the time to help me solve this conundrum.
wHATS A good way to launder it?
creating an onion site? Is it as easy as it sounds?  hmm
virtual credit card?
Holy smokes this is going to be fun.

Please keep  the suggestions coming. I am trying to become a legendary vendor on sr and i need to master this process before that happens.

Umm.. I'll just leave this here...  :-\

The process of creating the appearance that large amounts of money obtained from serious crimes, such as drug trafficking or terrorist activity, originated from a legitimate source.

Without it, international organized crime would not be able to function.

"Cashing out" is NOT the same as "laundering". Laundering is the process of making your money look clean (running it through a business etc.,) having receipts to prove the income 'came in', and of course, paying taxes on it.

You shouldn't be renting a commercial unit if you have no business to put in it! ??? Come up with a solid, bulletproof plan (with both best-case and worst-case scenario financial projections) and THEN move with renting a place etc. Don't get ahead of yourself - doing so will cause you to trip.

whats your vendor profile i need BTC

In the interest of buyer safety I need to point out the following if anyone is considering buying their Bitcoin from a vendor on Silk Road:

Quote
Please note that, while there are many vendors offering to sell Bitcoins directly from this site, we are not set up to facilitate this and it is very easy to get scammed this way. Until we are set up for it, we recommend you get Bitcoins from a third-party exchange. If you do get scammed we will have no way to help you.

I need help with a bitcoin transaction from a Silk Road vendor.

Unfortunately we do not offer support for these kinds of transactions because we cannot hold your payment in escrow. If there is an issue, you'll have to work it out directly with your vendor.

Please note that any misspells are intentional...

If the B T C exchange is located in the US or divvying out Unies Staes Dolar  Then it is about to become almost impossible to create a clean approach to getting your money quickly. We as a vendor have begun to encounter this already. The GOV is about to put a major bottleneck on the flow from  Bit - coin to U - S - D. There are options but they cost money to complete.

Feel free to contact us about some our ideas on this topic.

and

Check out some of our services for spending your bit - coin to live. after all we work in a bit - coin world so live like it. We are beginning more and more systems like this each week.

Depending on how much cash we're talking about, there are some easy ways to launder the money to make it totally legit.

Regardless of what you convert to, when it becomes legal tender recognized by any (standard) financial institution, you have to pay attention to one, very, very specific fact:

Tax evasion is the easiest way for any LE to get you.

If you produce an income, where items are purchased, that does not adequately get taxed, you will get caught. It is only a matter of time. The IRS has had a lot of practice since Capone.
