I know that there is/was a thread about this. However, it appears to be locked. I made my first deposit 16 hours ago and my account has yet to be funded. I know for some of you this has been resolved. Is anyone who deposited today still waiting on the transaction to complete?
-
Can you provide more detail? Like does the transaction show up on blockchain when you look up your SR wallet address? If so, go ahead and send a message to SR Support using the link at the bottom of the following page:
http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/help
They'll help get it sorted out for you.
-
Scout, thanks for your reply. The transaction on blockchain went through almost instantly. Everything appears to be correct on that end. I have sent a msg to support with the btc address which I sent from as well as the btc address that was provided on my SR account page. Along with the approximate time and amount of btc in question. Hopefully I did everything correctly and this will get resolved soon.

Sounds like you've done everything you can and provided them with a lot of helpful info! Hope you see them soon! :)
-
I hope so too!! I will keep checking on it and keep everyone up to date on the situation.

As of now its been over 24 hours and my account has not been funded from my initial deposit. I have a message into SR support but have not received a reply from them either.

Hi MrB08,
All you can do in this instance is wait for SR Support to get back to you; it can take up to 48 hours to receive a reply from them as they have to process everything that's in the queue before your issue.

I'm starting to get worried at this point that I will not receive the bitcoins I deposited or did something incorrect with the deposit itself.

That's why SR Support needs to look into it for you - they'll be able to tell you whether it's just something weird with your account, or if it was an issue at the other end of the transaction.
-
I'm still waiting on SR support to get back to me. I'm guessing that will not be until sometime tomorrow. But feel free to expedite the process...lol.
-
I'm having the exact same problem. I sent a deposit over 24 hours ago and I'm still not funded either. I can see it in my account history, and I can see where the tumbler got it, but after that my balance is still zero.
I hope you get it worked out, man. This sucks. I sent .45 BTC for the first deposit so it could be worse but still....that's money I didn't want to lose. I'm still holding out hope that they get it resolved and our accounts are funded soon.
-
Mr. Miller,
I'm going on 36 hours now and still waiting on the deposit to hit my SR account. Mine was a small amount as well (.55 btc) but even so money is money and I'm ready to make a purchase. I sent a msg to support about 6 hours after I made the deposit. I'm hoping to get a reply and resolution to the problem soon. Hopefully they will get yours cleared up as well. I will keep posting information about the situation.

Did you contact SR Support by using the link at the bottom of this page: http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/help ???

^This. I would also like to add the possibility of you having entered your details into a phishing site as you can see the deposit in your account history but it is not there. I'm not saying that this is the case, just that it is a possibility. ALWAYS make sure you're visiting the correct URL:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

I thought of that, Libertas. Glad you posted the correct URL, and yes that's the one I've been using. I did contact support. I contacted them last night but I didn't expect to hear back for a couple of days.
I can't speak for the OP, but I hit the 24 hour mark yesterday afternoon myself.

There is a phishing site that has a very similar URL, "silkroadhpj4dfu.onion" or the likes. A not insignificant amount of people are falling victim to that, so just be very wary and memorise the real URL, silkroadvb5piz3r.onion. Just break it up into three sections and you'll have it memorised in no time!
Please give SR Support up to 48 hours to respond; if you hear nothing back from them after that time period feel free to send another message in case they have overlooked your previous one - very unlikely, but it can happen. They're only human! Bombarding them with messages though won't help them get to your case any quicker as issues are addressed on a 'first-come, first-served' basis.

Got it. I'm glad to see that I've had the right URL. I was kind of worried about that one to be honest, but I had it right. I'm not as worried about it now. Also, I understand about the support staff being overwhelmed and I've never heard anything but good things about SR. Still, it would be nice to have the money I deposited actually in my account where I can use it before it depreciates any further. :)

I fully understand; Bitcoin is currently rising in value, so hopefully it'll be worth around the same or more as it was when you deposited it.

It's now been over 48 hrs since I made my first deposit and still nothing. My support ticket will be coming up on 48 hrs very soon as well. I've been on SR for about a month checking everything out and know the url, so that is not a concern I have. I will keep everyone updated.

SR Support are currently swamped and it may unfortunately take a bit longer to reach your place in the queue. It would be great if you could let us know if / when it gets sorted out, thanks MrB08. :)

I will keep everyone up to date with the situation. The moderators have been very helpful, thank you for that. I would be happy to p.m. one of the mods with the btc addresses in question to see if everything looks correct or not. I believe everything is correct but I am new to this. Shoot me a p.m. if either one of you are available to help. Thanks again.

Hi MrB08,
I was comfortable dealing with the issue another user had with their deposit from BitStamp not arriving as I've used that exchange myself in the past; I think your issue would be better dealt with by SR Support - when they get back to you about it, if it's still not resolved, I'll do some reading and experimenting with blockchain.info and see if I can figure out the issue for you.

At this point its starting to get ridiculous. It's been well over 72 hours since I made my initial deposit. My SR account balance still remains 0.00.
My support ticket is almost 72 hours hours old as well and I have yet to here from SR support. I completely understand being busy but this needs to get resolved soon or at the very least a response from support that they are looking into it.

I'm with you on that. I've tried to be patient, and have been, but this is insane.
I am starting to think that my money has just been stolen. I've thought about making another small deposit with a new pin and all that, but I'm really hesitant to do that since my support ticket hasn't even been read and we're quickly nearing the 48 hour mark since I submitted it. It sucks, but I'm starting to realize that this is one of those experiences that cost me $50.00 but I've learned from it and it could have been more. Still, I wish I had made that initial test deposit more like .01 BTC. Thank God I didn't deposit the whole wad as I had originally thought about doing.
l'd really appreciate it if a mod would take a look and at least offer an opinion on what they think might have happened. I 'd pm the address I sent it to in a heartbeat if I thought I could get this resolved soon.
BTW OP, when you look at your account history, does it show the deposit going to your address, and then show it going somewhere else with no address? They tell me that this is the tumbler in action.
-
Welp .. i just sent ฿0.00111111 using the "Send bitcoins to another member" Feature....
from my buyers account....to my soon to be Vendors account....that showed up..
Still..I have yet to see the two bitcoins that i sent from buyers account to soon to be vendors account
using the "Withdraw bitcoins" Feature .... also...i still have no Bitcoin Addy :o
ChemCat -- just to avoid a mess in this thread, can you start another thread about the problems you're having? That way, we can help each user in their own thread so details and such don't start getting confused.
:)

Absolutely :)
Sorry about that (Hugs)

First, Support tickets are currently backlogged 48 hours. You're not going to lose the money, so please relax.
If you want to PM me your SR btc address, I'll check it out on blockchain, but beyond that, there isn't anything we can do from our end here in the forums.
-
Well, Mr.B08 had to wait over 72 hours before his ticket got worked. That isn't 48. Then, from what he tells me, the response he got was "you sent your money to an address that is not a SR address." So basically, he is SOL. He lost his money so don't tell me to relax. I am pissed. If you guys are having problems this bad....warn people before we try to send our money to a system that is BROKEN. Sure..it was just 50 bucks, but it was MY 50 bucks and I expect things to work as I am told they will.
I am TOLD that my deposit should show after 6 confirmations.
I am TOLD that there was a problem, but that has been fixed.
I am TOLD "don't worry, your money will show up soon."
I am TOLD "if you see it hit your address, then it will post shortly.
One of several things is happening here. I have fucked up somewhere along the way and my money is gone (unlikely but admittedly a remote possibility) or SR is having problems they're not forthcoming about, which I find to be the more likely scenario.

So far, I've been told "don't worry..it's the tumbler" and don't worry your money will show up soon. Don't tell me to relax when I keep getting patronizing remarks and my money is still MIA.
One of two things is happening here. I have fucked up somewhere along the way and my money is gone (unlikely but admittedly a remote possibility) or SR is having problems they're not forthcoming about, which I find to be the more likely scenario.
I responded to your PM and was in no way patronizing you. The fact remains that this is not currently a widespread issue - it is isolated, and as you yourself mentioned, the OP never received the btc because he accidentally sent his bitcoin to a non-SR bitcoin address.
SR is NOT having problems, so there's nothing to warn people about. The system is not broken. The OP's issue was due to a mistake on his part, or using the btc address of a phishing site. Either way, it was not an issue with SR as they looked into it and found that the btc was sent to a wallet not belonging to the site.
If SR were having issues, there would be more people reporting it and an announcement would be made as soon as possible. But that's not the case.
The OP lost his money because unfortunately he sent it to a non-SR wallet somewhere.
-
Also: the reason I advised you not to worry is because if you sent the bitcoins to a valid SR wallet, then they WILL be credited to your account. No one who has sent them to their correct address has ever simply "lost" the bitcoins. Either you sent them to the correct address and will receive them (with the help of support), or they were sent to the wrong address. I was simply trying to reassure you that, barring having sent them to a non-SR address, you WILL receive your bitcoins.
-
I have to agree with Mr. Miller. It is possible that I could have done something wrong as this was my first deposit. However, I have had an account here for over a month prior to making my first deposit. Therefore, I find it unlikely that I did something incorrect on my end. I copied the btc address that was provided with my SR account and deposited btc from my blockchain account. Now, after speaking with one of the mod's something could be going on because the deposit address on my SR account is different than the one I made my initial deposit in.
I can trace the transactions through blockchain as the funds transfer from one address to another. I'm assuming this is the tumbler in action. There are thousand's of dollar's(usd) being transferred through these accounts. In the event that this is a phishing scam, which appears to be very profitable, here is the btc address in question to avoid 139UBqbZz3aC6o4xig2WgTKcVpAvAeteJJ. The balance on this account is 0.00 as the funds have transferred to another account and I'm new to using btc so I don't know if the account has been closed or will be re-used.
This is not the first experience with SR that I was expecting and hope nobody else has this happen to them.
-
Dude, again, I'm sorry this happened to you. I wasn't expecting this experience either. I was pretty sure I had done all the research I needed to to, and like you, I have had an account here for at least a month...more like two...before I decided to fund an account. I read...and I read..and I set up a tails usb drive, got PGP working...did everything I thought I needed to, and guess it still could be resolved. However, seeing what happened to you gives me a sinking feeling.
Good luck to you, bro. God I hate a thief. If I got scammed and knew who did it....they'd find him in a dumpster somewhere and would need a forensic team to ID him. Even over $50.00 NOBODY steals from me and gets away with it if I catch them. Nobody.
-
I just want to update everyone with whats going on. I should have done this in the first place. I decided to make a deposit of 0.01 btc into my SR account using the address provided, which is different from the address I used for my initial first deposit. I've been logged out for a few hours but the transaction already processed and is in my SR account. I'm still trying to figure out how I cut and pasted a completely different btc address for my first deposit. Good news is SR seems to be working well and transactions are going through.
Personally, I think something is going on with the site or someone is occasionally transferring btc into a separate account. I say this because when I'm logged on to SR, I'm never on any other sites other than the forum. And I didn't log into the forum until I thought I had an issue.
I hope this doesn't happen with anyone else. And Mr. Miller, hopefully yours gets resolved soon.
-
No one is "occasionally transferring btc into a separate account" ... there would be no point in doing this, and if it were happening, there would be more reports of it on the forum. Furthermore, there are two admin - DPR and inigo - neither of them would have any reason to steal random deposits.
I'm glad you received your second deposit. Locking this thread now since your issue was resolved.
-
I'd just also like to add that there IS malware out there that specifically targets Bitcoin addresses being copied to your clipboard. When you then paste what you think is your address into a target address field it will actually paste an entirely different Bitcoin address and the BTC will be sent there instead. Please check the first 3, middle 3 and last 3 digits everytime you paste your Bitcoin address somewhere to ensure that it is indeed the same as the address you copied.
I'm not saying that's what happened here, I just want to let people know. You should also fully secure your computer and run intensive anti-malware scans if this ever happens to you, or even if you think it may have been a possibility. A strong anti-virus (I personally use Avira when I'm using a Windows OS) is also essential.
