I cant login to my account and have tried to do so for days now. I am not 100% shure if its just a bug or someone is trying to mess with my account is anyone else have the problem with the login page?
-
I did have this earlier today! i was typing in the right details and it kept saying login failed over and over. I just closed tor browser and re-opened and everything worked again
-
i have closed it out and tried again many times but it never works for me i will try again tho.

Hi docroxs,
I have had no problems logging in myself; please ensure that you have updated your Tor Browser Bundle to the latest version, and you are accessing the site on the correct URL:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
Please let me know if the above fixes the issue.

I've had this issue before - a few times, it was just a matter of restarting tor with a new identity. Other times, something happened in the system to mess things up and I was inadvertently locked out of my accounts. SR Support had to reset the password for me.
If you continue receiving the same "Login failed" error after restarting tor, trying a new identity, and carefully ensuring that your password is typed correctly, then you'll want to follow these steps:
1. create a new account on SR
2. from that new account, send a message to SR Support from the link at the bottom of the following page: http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/help
3. let SR Support know that you're getting the "Login failed" error with your primary account and that you need them to reset the password
4. answer whatever questions they have to determine the primary account does indeed belong to you
You'll probably need to let them know details of your last btc deposit into that account to help prove it belongs to you.

Guys its starting to worry me a bit these past couple of days especially since I made a deposit, it keeps doing it to me also, and I do make sure to enter the right password every time, and also change the tor ident, is it something to worry about or just tech issues?
As a matter of fact I also updated to the latest tor bundle and would just not connect to the main site, and when it did, it wont log me in, I'm seeing too many peoples accounts are getting hacked, just would hate if it was to happen to me also.

To be fair, their accounts aren't really being hacked - in most cases, these are people (vendors included, sadly) who have provided their login details AND their PIN to phishing sites. Silk Road will NEVER ask you for your PIN at login. Make sure your password and PIN are both strong, and always make sure you are at the correct, legitimate url:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
As long as you do that, you really don't need to feel paranoid about the safety of your account. Protect your information and protect yourself, but know that it's not very common for someone to have their account TRULY hacked. In most cases, they have weak passwords / PINs, have entered their passwords / PINs on phishing sites, or - in some cases - have keyloggers or something on their computer.
Is your current issue returning an error? I mean, are you putting in your details and then being told "Login failed" or anything specific like that? Let us know - might help us pinpoint the issue a bit better.

Hi scout, well to be fair it has never asked me for my pin however just login error, although all the time I do make sure I have the right address, and my computer is solely used for SR, complete with the internet connection, so I highly doubt I would pick up keyloggers that easy. In any case, I have changed almost every bit of password and pin to double the amount of what I think is strong. The only reason why paranoia kicked in is because of just reading threads (which you clearly gave a fair reply) and the my own login errors. As I did mention I did however experience some connection problems at first with the new tor bundle. Seems okay now though. And I guess when experiencing a problem like this, now I know to make sure I hit new ident button first :)
Well you could say, I am a bit at ease, however still new to SR and more to learn.
Cheers

Glad to hear it's working better now, Meerkovo! It's never bad to ask about it when you have concerns or questions!

In that case your account, or any that you attempted to log in with, may have been compromised by a phisher. Silk Road will NEVER ask you for your PIN at login, and it is essential that you memorise the correct URL:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
Please see the SR Wiki here on how to reset your passphrase:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions#I_forgot_my_passphrase.
I forgot my passphrase.
You must create a new account and message support with the last address you deposited bitcoins to, along with any other information that can help us connect you to the account.
