SR has a large delay right now for deposits. See this thread: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=156494.0

I've done read that in its entirety.  It made me want to register and make my voice be known.

People are talking of a flip and even a slick getaway.   I doubt its that as SR has more potential to make more money down the road.  Plus I can't post there (don't think) so I am just posting and documenting and what not for the common good.

I will reply this thread as soon as my deposit comes in.  If it does not I will periodically update.

I understand your frustration. I have been waiting over 17 hours now.  If you read some of the posts fro DPR in the main discussion--he is posting updates on the problem.  As for the BTC not showing up--here is a reply from a moderator who answered others having this same problem.  We are not alone, friend, and they are working on it.

Hi folks,

The deposit process can take up to 24 hours but normally takes a lot less.
If you're checking the deposit on a site such as blockchain.info then what you're seeing is Silk Road's tumbler in action. There is nothing to worry about, and you will receive your coins.

If you do not receive your Bitcoin within 24 hours of having sent them, you can contact SR Support on the main site using the link in the bottom right hand corner of any page.

The GreenXchange, please check your PMs.

no problem making another thread

i guess the more it's noted the better... at least until the mods get fed up, hopefully when they do we'll have some answers and reasonable time frames

also @thequarian, they should look at updating their support FAQ page, it states that if waiting over six hours then a support ticket should be raised. I know it's an issue, but members are going to continue making the same threads with the same posts until something is done whether that be a resolution or some notification about resolving the issue.

Don't believe the hype timeparadox, I'm a newbie to the forum but not to SR. The people behind the scenes are honorable and good. Remember what some people are buying on SR--any delay and there may be buyers 'jonesing' for a product. Read the forums and ignore the nasty replies....the sensible and helpful replies are the REAL ones.

Also, just to make you feel better--BTC value has been in steady decline since I deposited my $100. yesterday.  Last time this happened (only then it was Bitinstant who was under attack) my money more than doubled when it finally appeared!!!  So the delay actually allowed me to buy twice as much from SR as before!  Keep the faith...

Oh, wow! That sucks! I waited almost 8 hours on Saturday and was almost in a state of panic. I feel you.

Thanks man that was very comforting words.  I just hope it gets sorted out today, if not I know it will get sorted eventually at least.  I guess in the meantime all you can do is ponder.

You make a good point, meadowslotus. Perhaps you might make that suggestion to SR support. Since BTC info has hit mainstream media BIGTIME in the last month, I've been reading about hack attacks on BTC exchanges, etc. all over the place.

or some notification about resolving the issue.

That said, I have a feeling that the SR powers-that-be wrote that FAQ page when 6 hours actually was the longest waiting period. Maybe after they fend of this attack (which sounds like a doozy, BTW, have you read DPR's updates?) they will update the FAQ page.

Happy to help, timeparadox, I flipped out the first time it happened to me but it all worked out beautifully in the end. Make sure to read around on the forums--especially what DPR has to say. I feel like I've entered a community of soul mates....

same boat here, 20+ hours later and 20% less value. I wonder if the btc dive is in any small way connected to the problem here on SR ...
