Title: I put an order, but vendor rating dropped by 10%
Post by: f4u5t on May 06, 2013, 05:03 pm
Hi,

I placed an order with a vendor who was a a bit fishy but still, I stayed in escrow. He asked for FE in exchange of 20% refund but I refused. Now it seems he's ignoring my messages (I took a DCN) and since I placed my order, his rating dropped by almost 10%. A lot of people claim they've been scammed just before the vendor marked my order in transit. Obviously, the vendor already put the order in transit but I highly doubt it's in transit. His account was suspended once because he was suspected of scamming. Is it possible to get my order cancelled? Or I need to wait until the resolve button appears? Still, I doubt he'll put the order in resolution...

This is clearly a flaw, I think, in the SR design because I did everything I could to protect myself but the customer is still the losing one.

Peace & take care.

Hi f4u5t,

Do not finalise your order and take it to resolution when the option becomes available to you. You can no longer cancel your order but in the resolution center you will have the option to request a full refund if you wish to do so. The vendor has no choice whether the order goes into resolution or not, once resolution is clicked it automatically enters the resolution center. An order will not auto-finalise once it is in resolution.

You can view an outline of how resolution and the ordering process works in the Wiki here:

Locked as resolved.
