Title: EXTREME PROBLEM WITH ESCROW
Post by: TheGreenXchange on May 06, 2013, 03:40 pm
I have yet to hear back from vendor support about my account balance not being correct after a customer finalized their order. Today I logged on only to see that my account balance had fallen by 1.3BTC. This shouldn't even be possible since my PIN has been locked and I still have around 40 hours before it can be reset. I'm not sure if someone else has stolen my account info, but even if they had it should be impossible to make withdrawals with a locked PIN. That means that the issue must be with SR. At this point, I'm down about $425 from incorrect accounting with escrow and this mysterious removal of my money.

Hi TheGreenXchange,

I'm afraid this is something that only Vendor Support can help you with. Moderators have no administrative access to Silk Road so we can't check what's going on in this instance.

The only thing I can think of is if you have your account set to display in USD rather than Bitcoin - any fluctuations in Bitcoin's value would thus affect your balance. If that is not the case then I'm afraid you will just have to wait for Vendor Support to get back to you on the issue. I'm sure they'll resolve it in any event, so don't be too worried about it. :)

Thread locked as we can offer no more information in this instance.
