I thought it was my eyes deceiving me and I was logging off and forgetting. But I log in to the main site.. and leave that tab open.. and notice a bit later I'm logged out. Anyone else? Is this some new feature to log you out if you're idling? Or.. am I experiencing some bug?

Yes, this is happening to a lot of us and DPR knows about the issue. It's something that has resulted from the security measures taken during the attacks. It should be fixed, but DPR asked that I let him know if it's still occurring in a few days. For now though, he's aware of it and there's no need to worry, as frustrating as it can be to get randomly logged off!
(and before anyone says it - there's also no need to worry about the fact that you get a 3-character captcha. it's happened before and is nothing to get freaked out about. just reload the page and you'll get a normal-length captcha.)

Ah gotchya. Thanks for that Scout. Was wondering WTF was going on. Although, hell, I'm all for ANYTHING in the name of security implementations.
Whatever keeps the POS attackers out.. fine by me.

thanks for the heads up. I was starting to worry thinking something was going on. I tried to change passwords incase I was being logged off by an intruder but I cant get more than 2 links in to anywhere before beingf forced off again :( Good luck on fixing the problem :)

at least he changed the capcha color, 1 week ago , it too me 20 minute of trying to login because of invalid capcha... couldnt see shit, but now its all good :-)
I prefer relogin every 10-15min then trying to login 20min lol

Is it also expected that the login sometimes just doesn't seem to work (it reloads the login page, without showing an error of a failed login or anything)? This just happened to me a few times (along with random log offs).

I was thinking the same thing.. I couldnt even log in, knowing I typed everything perfectly, it just kept saying log in failed. I just got back in just now. So its def just a tech problem. Hopefully it will get resolved soon. :)
