How is it possible that Samgiancanas ratings could now be at 99, up from before, when the loser is just ripping people off (for proof just search his name on here and you will see). Is this showing me/us that the rating thing is just bullshit???? SR ovibously you know about this piece of shit yet you allow him to continue selling on this site???WTF?

The feedback score is determined by a number of variables; you can read more about these, and the feedback score in general, on the SR Wiki here:

I presume his high rating is coming from the large number of people FE'ing and leaving a rating of 5.
As far as possible scamming goes, SR Support is incredibly busy and will get to the reports about this vendor when they have a chance. People need to stop Finalising Early and they won't get scammed. Silk Road can do nothing for buyers that choose to do this.

His account needs to be, at the very least, locked down temporarily till evidence pointing one way or the other can be examined and acted upon.

I've been passing all of this info along to Vendor Support / SR Staff. Right now they are probably still busy with the attacks and dealing with whatever issues arose during the unreliable past week ... but I have every faith that as soon as they are able to, they will look into this and take care of it if they are able to find proof of scamming.
In the meantime, DO NOT FINALIZE EARLY.

also, make sure that when you have these types of experiences, you use that "report this vendor" link on the vendor's profile. the more people that report a vendor, the sooner it will get looked at.

Sorry to hear he scammed you. Make sure you update your feedback to 1/5 so others who may not read the forums as much know hes a scammer. I would put in the response that he requested FE and you got nothing.

My review has been adjusted to a 1/5 with an explanation, but it is now some 3 pages back so visibility is limited. There is also another review that mirrors exactly what happened with me, so Mr. Giancana has a pattern he's following. I also submitted a vendor report to SR admin, so hopefully that will help as well. If they need proof I have all of his communication saved, and the deal was registered through SR so there's a record of the transaction.
I hate to bring all this out in public, but Sam isn't replying to my messages, and hasn't even read the last couple that were sent. The important thing is for others to be forewarned, though I fear there's much damage already been done far above and beyond my issue.
Here's hoping he gets shut down. There are few things worse than douchbags committing douchbaggery.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you FE? What was the incentive/rationale behind that? IMHO, literally the only 1 rule/advice that is ever given around here (which happens to be the 1 piece of advice that inevitably people don't always take) is.. NEVER FE. It sucks ScamGiancanna took your money.. but why on earth would you finalize early?

Judging by recent reports you should perhaps give up hope, but you should definitely not finalise the order. Take it to resolution when the option becomes available / the resolution center resumes operation and request a 100% refund.

Indeed - perhaps I was a little premature in my recommendation, though his general reliability still remains suspect.
mollytherat, perhaps you would consider changing the refund request to a 5 - 7 day extension and if it does not arrive after that period (which kicks in after the 17 day auto-finalise period), request a 100% refund.

I thought that could have been the case but i couldn't understand why a single buyer would buy 2 orders of 5 grams meth, a gram of ketamine, and then an order of 7 grams of meth. If it was a legit purchase the buyer over paid in a major way.
Sams 5 g meth listing is 509.61, and his 7g meth listing is 694.12 so for the meth the buyer paid $1713.34 for 17 g meth.
If it was me i would have bought the half ounce of meth for $1210 and then 3.5g meth for 366.52 for a total of 1576.52. This would have saved about $200 and you would get an extra half gram of meth too
Either the buyer sucks at math, or its sam padding his feedback.

The other weird thing is that each of the first 2 reviews came up with their own feedback. The firs two were each for 5g meth and each had an individual review. I thought when the same buyer was purchasing 2+ of the same item, i thought that counted as one "transaction" and only a single feedback comment was left.
Correct me if im wrong but that was what originally made me think that it wasn't the same person leaving the same feedback for multiple items.

As long as you enter resolution and request a 100% refund, and it is approved by the administrator dealing with the resolution, then yes. As a result of the recent events and feedback where this vendor is concerned I would suggest entering resolution as soon as the option becomes available to you.

You're very welcome. I hope everything works out for you, and keeping screenshots etc. is a good idea but please make sure they are hidden in an encrypted volume if they are being stored locally on your machine.

Add me to the list of people being ripped off by SamGiancana. luckily mine is just an attmept right now as I did not F/E luckily(only because I already fell for that and got ripped of twice by smooth talkers. no more) and He pulled the exact same Shtick as everyone else. first a fake usps tracking # (for a domestic order explain that one) then a message saying someone hacked his account and to resend info and he would get the real tracking # . from here he ignores every message/email and order was about to auto finalize so I put it into resoloution, just waiting on that now.
Man this guy is something else, so nice and sincere to begin with . and tons of people are F/E for his generous 20% extra from a "trusted and stand up vendor" i cant believe this
they really need to look at revising the rules for F/E, maybee abolish it for trusted buyers or something I dont know but the scams are getting bad.

People need to take personal responsibility for Finalising Early. Nobody forces buyers to do it, yet people continue to claim that Silk Road needs to do something about it. I am sorry to hear that you got scammed in the past by vendors but if you make a conscious decision not to FE again - as you have done in this case - your money will be safe. You are a perfect example of somebody taking responsibility and deciding "No, I won't go outside the protection of escrow because there's a chance I'll get scammed if I do." and you're completely right.
Why on earth would people willfully remove the protection of escrow simply because they are promised 20% extra?! More importantly, how can people think that for every 100g that a vendor sends out, they would also send out 20g free?! The 20g is likely the majority of their profit margin! ???
The mind boggles.

you do have a valid point, its just I feel bad for the newbies who feel that have to F/E and also people (including myself) that forget to search the forums which I have also learned, It seems you need to get burned before you learn that Never F/E lesson unless your lucky enough to learn through these forums of all the people burned before it happens to you, but Yeah I thought that was a little outrages 20% when I got scammed the first time it was by TheTeflonDon. I didnt search the forums and he offered free express shipping for F/E which I fell for and the second time was by LucyDrop who was the top domestic lsd vendor for a long time with a stand up record who required everyone F/E because he only offered regular shipping and no refunds, It was bad timing that I decided to buy while he decided to go rouge
either way I hate these scammers and Yes I learned my lesson and took responsibility :-)

I sampled some of his ICE (decent quality MiMMs is far better) and some of his 'high' heat coke (it was of subpar quality but he gave me a over weighed bag, so i didnt complain much..) I never had to FE the first time and I had my order within 2 days... i was impressed...
Now comes my second order:
I msg sam arrrange an order make sure he can ship it out fast and he responds to me by the minute, im impressed with his stellar communication and well my past order with him came blazing fast... so when he offers me 20% more for FE i dont think twice... Well fuck me in the ass without lube... because I sure as fuck wish I went through the forums here first. The old gut, told me something was up, but did i listen? nope let my inner drug fiend take over... "oh hes offering 20% more for free omg order now!!, and hell buddy aint scamming he shipped your first order np...., but something didnt quiet seem right.. yet I still ordered and FE'd"
Well hes not responded to me in days (ya SR had its up n downs as of late... but its no excuse to not reply in 72hrs when hes checking in every day)
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHIFTY FUCK, SAVE YOUR MONEY! NEVER EVER FE

IMO FE should not be allowed for new vendors that have been in business less then a year... After a year of successful transactions and positive reviews... then sure FE but giving these brand new vendors the ability to have their orders FE'd it just opens up the doorway for FRAUD!

If people refuse to FE then they will not fall victim to FE scams.
Requesting that buyers FE is not allowed for new vendors, it is only permitted for vendors that have made 30+ sales and have been vending for one month or more. The vendor bond was also recently introduced to combat scamming whereby the vendor must pay a $500 bond to be granted vending privileges; after they have made 30 transactions totaling $1500 of sales or more, and been a vendor for 6 weeks with no bad trading history they can then request this back.
Remember though, a vendor only has to scam $500 in order to break even, and the can only do that if buyers consent to Finalising Early. In the eye's of the Silk Road system "finalised" means that you have received your order and everything is as it should be.
To update any feedback that you have left simply click Account, View feedback (in the box on the right) and the 'edit' button beside whichever feedback you wish to update.

This wouldn't prevent scammers from scamming. SR has always, always, always warned about the dangers of finalizing early. The escrow system is in place to offer protection to vendors and buyers -- when someone finalizes early and chooses to leave the escrow system, they are in effect choosing to forgo that protection.
Stay in escrow, do not finalize early, and you won't be scammed like this! Or, if you are somehow scammed, at least by staying within escrow you can go to the resolution center and receive a refund.

Well I realize this now.... Ive FE'd to other seasoned vendors without any problems but I will definitely never do it again.
Hopefully the admins / SR Staff shut this guy down before he robs anyone else. Hes got some hefty priced items up there...
I just want EVERYONE to know this punk is scamming the good & honest users/vendors of SR, so others do not fall prey to this greasy prick!
Anyways lesson learned I still love the site, Im just going to be much more cautious in the future and im sure so will everyone else ScamG has robbed

I didn't FE with SamGiancana but I ordered 1g with escrow and it should have arrived days ago (I got express).
He hasn't replied to messages. He's definitely scamming.
