Title: Bitcoins transaction help!

hi, yes another silkroad newbie here

i just bought bitcoins from localbitcoins.com and transfered to my silkroad deposit account ( where it says to deposit for the first time ) .. and i've done it from localbitcoins.com  and i have not yet received them in my SR account, and i was wondering if i just wasted a chunk of cash? or do i need to wait a certan time.. or is it instantly? . cheers

It can take some time for you to see your deposit.  Usually it's an hour or less, but sometimes it can be much longer.  With all the access issues recently and the traffic right now, expect it to be a bit of a wait...

Further to mdpro's comment, it can take up to 24 hours for BTC that you deposit to reach your account, sometimes longer. However, in most cases you will have it within a few hours.

It is important to note that hitting 'get a new address' when you're waiting for BTC to be received can cause issues with crediting the correct account, so when you're depositing you should always wait until the BTC has been received before changing your deposit address.

It is recommended that you hit 'get a new address' before any deposit, once you're not expecting BTC into the account.

If you haven't received the coins in 24 hours, you can contact SR Support on the main site (if you can access it!) and they will look into it and get it sorted out for you.
