Hahaha, you expect your threads NOT to get locked? You create multiple threads with the same title, and then proceed to rapidly fill them with identical, rambly posts accusing known vendors in good standing. Who did you minus 1? Probably not even the guy that locked the thread...

Your karma score speaks volumes about what this community thinks of your contributions

I locked the thread because it was going nowhere, and you had said in all the previous posts everything that needed to be said on the matter. I also told you what to do if you felt the vendor had scammed you.

As for implying that I am somehow in league with this person (who you claim scammed you), I take great offense that you would suggest I would contribute to such an act.

Locking the thread on an ALLEGEDLY scamming seller was not SR policy, it was a decision I took with the autonomy given to me as a moderator as I was of the opinion that the thread had run its course. There was no discussion taking place, it simply consisted of you repeating what you had already said many times previously.

My post from that thread is below:

If you Finalise Early and willfully remove yourself from the protection of the escrow center you leave yourself open to the possibility of getting scammed. You seem to be somewhat offended because you did not receive a 'thank you' or a 'sorry' from the vendor in question - packages do occasionally fail to arrive due to reasons outside of a vendor's control. The vendor offered to make up for this by including a free extra with your next order but you stated that you did not want to. That, it would seem, should be the end of it.

If you believe a vendor has scammed you you are free to use the 'report this vendor' link on their profile and include as much detail as possible.

Locking this thread as it isn't really going anywhere.

I Bump the threads to save any newbie from buyings
Lets get this straight  I bought 14g and it was in escrow ..ok escrow  no FE .  it didnt come I went to resolution saying this guy is threatening me  he ased for an extension of 7 days which was given . 2 days later he said if you dont fe Im sending nothing . I reported it to Sr , he offered a 0% refund I wanted a full reship as he admitted he didnt dsend it

GUESS WHAT  Resolution gave me & him 50% each , so he got 50% for threatening me amd sending  nothing

Rock on Sr ..... So I am bumping these threads I dont give a shit if you or anybody else like it or not .. Im saving or trying to help the newbies from getting robbed .. Unlike some folk on here or Sr for that matter.   ???

so how come he got 50% when it was in resolution ?  your the mod explain   (the fee,s he generates maybe) never mind that robbing cunt charabros I ordered and he promised me tracking and soon as I paid he said fe and I said why its to be tracked ..told me dont fe I wont send . cancelled  3 days later after the btc crash , so he took my money and refunded half it ..I reported it and guess what ...FUK ALL HAPPENED .(wouldnt be because of the fees? he generates would it ?)
If there was more mods who had some sort of teeth.. me and the rest  of sr wouldnt have  to report  vendors 50+ times (the button doesnt work anyway) whos kidding who here.
look at sam  many times was he reported ? or dont you know , would be interesting to see how many times  he,s been reported or charas (100 - 200 times)   ???  can you say ....

Anyone had any problems with uglydoll? I ordered a week ago, been messaging him to no avail, final got a reply today (thursday) telling me he'll ship it on Monday! What sort of customer service is that!? No apology, no explanation, nothing. I think It's safe to say I shan't be ordering from him again

Yes, I am a moderator - a forum moderator, not a Silk Road administrator. I do not know why the administrator that was overseeing the resolution decided to award 50%; that is something that you would have to take up with them. All I can tell you is that they take both the buyer's and vendor's account histories into account, and make a decision based on all of the evidence that is presented and available to them.

Regarding CharasBros, if you did not FE then he did not have an opportunity to take your money nor 'refund it' as he did not have it in the first place. It was being held in escrow and the vendor cancelled the order. As a result, you received a refund. Please see the following SR Wiki entries which may help you understand why you received the amount of Bitcoin that you did when the order was cancelled:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions#Why_is_my_refund_less.2Fmore_than_I_paid.3F

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Buyer%27s_Guide#Escrow_hedge

You have presumably read the buyer's guide so you presumably knew what would happen in the event of a cancellation. Neither Silk Road nor the vendors that trade on it are responsible for the volatility of Bitcoin. Silk Road already does its best to limit this volatility by utilising a moving 24 hour average rather than a moving 'last' price.

Regarding the cancellation itself, this is a free market and both vendors and buyers are free to elect to do business with whomever they wish. The commission that a vendor generates is absolutely NOT taken into account if they break the rules governing vending privileges. The reason that your report resulted in "FUK ALL" happening is because there was no actual issue to begin with. It seems it was a misunderstanding on your part as to how the escrow system works.

If there was more mods who had some sort of teeth.. me and the rest  of sr wouldnt have  to report  vendors 50+ times (the button doesnt work anyway) whos kidding who here.

As I stated above, we are forum moderators, not Silk Road administrators. I hope now that you understand the difference you might be less venomous towards us in the future. We are here to help the Silk Road community, and answer any questions that customers may have. We do not have access to the main site to take care of customer issues, but when things are reported to us that we feel need to be passed up the chain to administrators, they are sent without delay.

I don't know how many times any vendor has been reported, nor is it any of my business as a forum moderator. All I can say on the matter is that if you believe a vendor is scamming or posting listings for items that are prohibited, you can click the 'report this vendor' / 'report this item' link and detail your suspicion or issue in the area provided.

I don't understand the rule that customers can only get 50% of the escrow money: it's ok in case the package get lost or seized
(although I think vendors should bear the responsibility of shipping success, so customers have more confidence and business grow)
but if it's a scam it's on 100% and basically vendors get the right to scam 50% on every order, I ain't right?

A resolution is decided based on the evidence provided - and available - to the administrator presiding over it. 100% refunds are given in many cases if the administrator feels it is justified. Other amounts are given depending on what the administrator feels is correct for the situation.
