We have uptime of 98%, which - for one of the most popular .onion sites by traffic volume - is pretty damn good. Silk Road has been live for approximately 950 days. Counting the 14 day period of 'up and down' downtime that the site was largely inaccessible for as one block of constant downtime, and allowing 5 days for previous maintenance and unscheduled downtime (in reality it has been a much less than that, but we'll use that figure for argument's sake), that brings us to total downtime of 19 days out of 950 days. 19 as a percentage of 950 is 2%. It's hard to argue that uptime of 98% is 'ridiculous' given the nature of Silk Road, and the scope of our adversaries. Please note that recent connectivity issues have nothing to do with Silk Road; they are, in fact, issues with the Tor network itself being overloaded. Libertas
