Hi eleanorrobot, All refunds are applied directly to your Silk Road account (username) - they are not sent to a Bitcoin address, they are simply 'moved' internally. It utilises the same process as the "Send bitcoins to another member" feature. In cases where you are transferring Bitcoin to you Silk Road deposit address from an external wallet system it is advisable to keep the same address until your Bitcoin has arrived. However, all addresses that you have used previously are unique to your account. If you ever have a problem and your Bitcoin don't arrive after 24 hours, get in touch with SR Support (the bottom right hand corner of your page) and they'll be able to manually push them through for you.
