I locked your thread because: A) Sales are not permitted without a vendor account, and all sales must go through the Silk Road ordering system, thus automatically going through escrow. B) Sales are not permitted on the forums, full stop. In order to have a need of making use of an external escrow service, the member interested would have to be making a trade outside of the Silk Road ordering system which is not permitted (refer to point A). C) As you would, by your own admission, be remaining anonymous, there would nothing preventing you from a 'cut and run' should you amass enough Bitcoin in this "escrow" account. D) Stating that it would be "run by a couple of American lawyers with decades of experience in both civil and criminal law (on the state and federal level) including mediating and/or arbitrating disputes that might arise" was, in my opinion, done in order to add an air of legitimacy and encourage trust in what would most likely turn into a scam, presuming that it is not one from the get-go. If you would be remaining anonymous then it would be pointless to state that as it is entirely unverifiable. It is not a question of "morals", it is a question of whether or not this would be a legitimate undertaking and whether it is needed. Due to how it would be set up, I formed the opinion that it would be neither. If you wish to offer an escrow service, feel free to go to bitcointalk.org and present the idea there. I can guarantee, however, that you will be laughed off the forum before your second post on the matter. We - the moderators - are here to protect this community, and that is what I am doing here.
