Bug reports / Re: Can't bookmark producs
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:45 pm »
Thanks Libertas. well i tried again and it worked and was able to bookmark, and then tried another item and it gave the same error message so I guess it's just a bit random.

Give it a few days to get sorted out; I'm going to lock this in the meantime but if it still occurs after a few days fire me a PM and I'll send it up the chain.

Customer support / Re: Fannytastic vendor review
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:41 pm »
Haven't made 50 posts yet so forums are limited, could a mod kindly move this to the vendor review section for me (thank you)

Vendor: Fannytastic      Page - http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad/user/52361a37f3

Sell's mostly weed (according to vendor page going to add other stuff too) Mainly been smoking their God bud going to try a sample of J-1 soon.

The God bud is some of the best trimmed bud I've seen on the road. Lovely smooth taste from where it's been cured well and it's really dry and crispy so it grind's easy (if that's your thing)

Vendor's shipping times make me suspect they are a wizard. Once placed an order late afternoon and it still arrived the next day. All other orders have arrived day after being marked as in transit.

Vendor also has brilliant comm's. Overall brilliant weed vendor on SR especially if your from the UK.

Hi bunnyburt,

The above isn't really a 'Customer Support' issue; please use this forum to report problems that you may be having (as long as they don't fit in the Technical Support or Bur report forums) or to ask questions that you may need an answer to.

Feel free to post the review in the Newbie discussion forum (http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?board=24.0), and I will transfer it to the Rumor Mill when you have 50 posts as you would otherwise not be able to post in it.

Customer support / Re: ***Bitcoins from Atlantis to Silkroad***
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:39 pm »
Is there anyone can kindly tell me know:

How long it takes to withdraw the Bitcoins from Atlantis account to Silkroad account in generous?

It's been 6 hours past, but it I haven't seen my bitcoins deposited into my silkroad account. Very much worried :(!

May God bless us all! :)

I dont know about atlantis but I have been waiting for nearly 5 hours now for my coins still no sign of them.  Pooping myself also whats happening

Hi folks,

I cannot help you with the Atlantis to Silk Road issue, but on the topic of not having received your Bitcoin yet:

The deposit process can take up to 24 hours but normally takes a lot less.
If you're checking the deposit on a site such as blockchain.info then what you're seeing is Silk Road's tumbler in action. There is nothing to worry about, and you will receive your coins.

If you do not receive your Bitcoin within 24 hours of having sent them, you can contact SR Support on the main site using the link in the bottom right hand corner of any page.

EDIT: Glad to see your Bitcoin arrived from Atlantis. Locking this as resolved.

Newbie discussion / Re: Hello. Why the spam???????????
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:36 pm »
As MaestroVendor has stated, it is to prevent spambots from being able to plaster the forums with spam. When they are kept here they are more easily eliminated and the other forums are not affected.

We're currently discussing the possibility of cleaning up the Newbie forum; it has evolved into more than just a place to contain spam, so depending on the direction we receive it may be a more pleasant place to spend time in in future.

Things have been a little "phishy" in my opinion as I keep getting kicked back to login page.  Some of the verification codes don't seem legit.  Sometimes they come up as 3 numbers rather than the usual 4-5 letter characters followed by 3 numbers.  i always refresh until I get a legit verification code.  I can't help but wonder if someone has somehow managed to phish for passwords.  I was corresponding with a customer last night who told me he watched his account balance go from 1700.00 to 280.00  Weird that if someone had access to his account they didn't just take it all...then again, what else could it be.  I don't feel comfortable storing large amounts of btc in here anymore.  Not sure what's going on.  Maybe it will magically reappear the same way it disappeared.

One public PGP key everyone should keep a copy of is the key of Silk Road's founder Dread Pirate Roberts (DPR). A signed message with this key carries the ultimate authority when it comes to matters of Silk Road. It has been the same since the founding of Silk Road and any important announcements requiring trust will be signed with this key. Here it is:

Newbie discussion / Re: SamGiancana is a scammer
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:08 pm »
Well heres my samg  story:

I was one of the first people to order from this guy...  I sampled some of his ICE (decent quality MiMMs is far better) and some of his 'high' heat coke (it was of subpar quality  but he gave me a over weighed bag, so i didnt complain much..)    I never had to FE the first time and I had my order within 2 days... i was impressed...

Now comes my second order:

I msg sam arrrange an order make sure he can ship it out fast  and he responds to me by the minute, im impressed with his stellar communication  and well my past order with him came blazing fast...  so when he offers me 20% more for FE  i dont think twice...         Well fuck me in the ass without lube...  because I sure as fuck wish I went through the forums here first.    The old gut, told me something was up, but did i listen?  nope let my inner drug fiend take over...   "oh hes offering 20% more for free omg order now!!, and hell buddy aint scamming he shipped your first order np...., but something didnt quiet seem right.. yet I still ordered and FE'd"

Well hes not responded to me in days (ya SR had its up n downs as of late... but its no excuse to not reply in 72hrs when hes checking in every day)

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHIFTY FUCK, SAVE YOUR MONEY!  NEVER EVER FE

THIS PRICK WILL GET WHATS COMING TO HIM SOONER THEN LATER!

I really hope the SR admins take this guy down before more good members get ripped!

IMO FE should not be allowed for new vendors that have been in business less then a year...    After a year of successful transactions and positive reviews... then sure FE     but giving these brand new vendors the ability to have their orders FE'd    it just opens up the doorway for FRAUD!

/rant

oh and any advice on how I am supposed to update my reviews once ive posted them?   that would be greatly appreciated!

My response to this post in the other SamGiancana thread:

I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune but as you state yourself: "something didnt quiet seem right.. yet I still ordered and FE'd"

If people refuse to FE then they will not fall victim to FE scams.

Requesting that buyers FE is not allowed for new vendors, it is only permitted for vendors that have made 30+ sales and have been vending for one month or more. The vendor bond was also recently introduced to combat scamming whereby the vendor must pay a $500 bond to be granted vending privileges; after they have made 30 transactions totaling $1500 of sales or more, and been a vendor for 6 weeks with no bad trading history they can then request this back.

Remember though, a vendor only has to scam $500 in order to break even, and the can only do that if buyers consent to Finalising Early. In the eye's of the Silk Road system "finalised" means that you have received your order and everything is as it should be.

To update any feedback that you have left simply click Account, View feedback (in the box on the right) and the 'edit' button beside whichever feedback you wish to update.

Hi,

I placed an order with a vendor who was a a bit fishy but still, I stayed in escrow. He asked for FE in exchange of 20% refund but I refused. Now it seems he's ignoring my messages (I took a DCN) and since I placed my order, his rating dropped by almost 10%. A lot of people claim they've been scammed just before the vendor marked my order in transit. Obviously, the vendor already put the order in transit but I highly doubt it's in transit. His account was suspended once because he was suspected of scamming. Is it possible to get my order cancelled? Or I need to wait until the resolve button appears? Still, I doubt he'll put the order in resolution...

This is clearly a flaw, I think, in the SR design because I did everything I could to protect myself but the customer is still the losing one.

Peace & take care.

Hi f4u5t,

Do not finalise your order and take it to resolution when the option becomes available to you. You can no longer cancel your order but in the resolution center you will have the option to request a full refund if you wish to do so. The vendor has no choice whether the order goes into resolution or not, once resolution is clicked it automatically enters the resolution center. An order will not auto-finalise once it is in resolution.

You can view an outline of how resolution and the ordering process works in the Wiki here:

Ok, that works.

Yes, I put it into resolution last night. I just wanted to see if I would need to do anything at the end of the 5 days if it came to that.

Thanks for the reply Libertas~

No problem, I hope it all works out okay. You may also want to read the following excerpt from the Wiki that details what happens if you propose a resolution and there is no response from the vendor:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions#How_are_resolutions_decided

Quote
How are resolutions decided

If you cannot agree on a resolution, a Silk Road admin with review your case and choose a fair resolution. The reviewer carefully weighs the evidence and statements provided and the relative reputations of the parties involved. If one party does not propose any resolution by the due date, the most recent resolution provided by the present party will always be chosen. In this case, any refund granted will not be counted for buyer refund statistics.

Customer support / Re: EXTREME PROBLEM WITH ESCROW
« on: May 06, 2013, 04:53 pm »
I have yet to hear back from vendor support about my account balance not being correct after a customer finalized their order. Today I logged on only to see that my account balance had fallen by 1.3BTC. This shouldn't even be possible since my PIN has been locked and I still have around 40 hours before it can be reset. I'm not sure if someone else has stolen my account info, but even if they had it should be impossible to make withdrawals with a locked PIN. That means that the issue must be with SR. At this point, I'm down about $425 from incorrect accounting with escrow and this mysterious removal of my money.

-TGX

Hi TheGreenXchange,

I'm afraid this is something that only Vendor Support can help you with. Moderators have no administrative access to Silk Road so we can't check what's going on in this instance.

The only thing I can think of is if you have your account set to display in USD rather than Bitcoin - any fluctuations in Bitcoin's value would thus affect your balance. If that is not the case then I'm afraid you will just have to wait for Vendor Support to get back to you on the issue. I'm sure they'll resolve it in any event, so don't be too worried about it. :)

Thread locked as we can offer no more information in this instance.

Basically, I made a small purchase on the 25th (couple days before the downtime), vendor supposedly shipped out the same day and all seems fine. Vendor has since gone MIA and has not logged on since he said he shipped out the package, which I obviously have not received. I'm not sure if the DoS scared him off or what, but it doesn't look like he's coming back.

Is there any way for a staff member to look at this and possibly speed up the process, or should I just wait the 5 days? And then what happens after 5 days, I'm assuming there will be some option to call on the staff?

Hi DubstarRecords,

Have you put the order into resolution? Once an order is in the resolution center an admin will get to it when they have processed any resolutions ahead of yours in the queue. There is no way to speed this process up. You can view the resolution center process here:
