Sorry but these bollocks threads should be shut down.

The fucking length of these threads places a strain on the SQL engine.

It's not hard to make 50 half useful posts!

Bumping....

Please read and digest.

Also could a mod comment on this?

Hi britfaglulz2,

We have opened a discussion amongst the moderating and administrative team regarding the possibility of reducing the amount of spam in the Newbie forum. This forum was originally brought in to tackle the mass-spam being posted by the current "bitswing" scammers, so is essentially a containment area. However it has evolved into something more, and I would love to see real discussion taking place here uninterrupted by masses of people spamming to get to 50 posts.

When we make a decision one way or another we will make an announcement about it.

If you Finalise Early and willfully remove yourself from the protection of the escrow center you leave yourself open to the possibility of getting scammed. You seem to be somewhat offended because you did not receive a 'thank you' or a 'sorry' from the vendor in question - packages do occasionally fail to arrive due to reasons outside of a vendor's control. The vendor offered to make up for this by including a free extra with your next order but you stated that you did not want to. That, it would seem, should be the end of it.

If you believe a vendor has scammed you you are free to use the 'report this vendor' link on their profile and include as much detail as possible.

Locking this thread as it isn't really going anywhere.

As WhiteShark has mentioned, if the order was hedged then you will receive back your Bitcoin minus the 4% hedging fee (this goes to Silk Road for assuming the volatility risk upon hedging the order). I double-checked and when an order is cancelled either by the vendor or by the buyer you will receive a full refund. However, this will not include the hedging fee.

You can read more about the hedging process here:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Buyer%27s_Guide#Escrow_hedge

And more about the ordering process here:

@ WhiteShark: thank you for your contribution. :) Locking this as resolved.

Newbie discussion / Re: How long is normal "order processing"?
« on: May 08, 2013, 06:10 pm »
Vendors have 4 days from the time you place your order to mark it 'in transit'. This was temporarily extended to 7 days to allow for the downtime caused by the DDoS attack, but is back to 4 days now. If they do not ship the order within that 4 day time-frame you are free to cancel it.

Please keep in mind though that many vendors are incredibly busy catching up on things. However, as Silk Road is a free market, you are free to cancel any orders that take longer than 4 days to process and order elsewhere.

Customer support / Re: Order cancelled - NO money back!?!?
« on: May 08, 2013, 06:00 pm »
Do not reply    Order canceled by ******
inside this message it said my orders by this vendor had been cancelled due to no longer having a shipping option. It said i would get my money back and the orders were cancelled. but when i looked the orders were still there and i didnt have my bitcoins back. why?

Hi elementnature,

If the orders are still there then the vendor has not yet cancelled them. You won't receive your Bitcoin back until either you or the vendor cancels the order. A buyer can only cancel an order once the status is 'processing' - once it changes to 'in transit' the buyer can no longer cancel. The vendor, however, can cancel an order at any time and the Bitcoin that is held in escrow will be refunded.

Locking this as resolved.

Customer support / Re: <- Bloemenstudio -> A caution to buyers
« on: May 08, 2013, 05:55 pm »
Just sending out a caution to all buyers about this vendor.

I have ordered from him myself, product has not arrived yet, but i cannot be 100% sure that it wont yet in my own case, as it was only 8 days ago now.  (im pretty sure it wont, judging by feedback)

But take a look at his recent feedback before you decide to purchase anything from him.

I will stress that i have never read anything other than good things about this vendor, which is why i chose to FE my order, after having been scammed just a few weeks earlier, but now it seems that was yet another mistake by me. (again, not 100% sure in my case yet)

But because i have been scammed myself, i feel its my duty to warn other potential buyers before they also get scammed, thats all im trying to do here.

Hi Sigmafight,

Please allow more time for the package to be delivered. However, please note that when you choose to FE there is unfortunately nothing that can be done should something go wrong. Escrow is there for your protection. If the package does not arrive within the next couple of days hit the 'report this vendor' link on their vendor page and include as much information as possible.

Locking this as there is nothing more that customer support can add in this instance.

Hi
I placed an order with a seller whom i've never bought from before. I just got a message from him stating he cancelled the order and i should order a smaller amount. I got my BTC for the order back, but not the ones for the shipping cost.
what do?
greetz anon

Hi Anon2423,

As far as I can recall shipping fees are not refunded when an order is cancelled by the vendor but I will double check this and get back to you on it.

Customer support / Re: Should i be worried?
« on: May 08, 2013, 05:50 pm »
Updating to say i have still received jack all. I am almost certain he never posted it. The seller also refuses to give me a refund even though he states on his vendor page he does refunds. I have lost a lot of money from this, not happy >:(

Hi dan2690,

As scout has stated, it is always best to remain in escrow. Unfortunately there is nothing more that can be done in this situation as you Finalised Early. If you believe that the vendor has scammed you please use the "report this vendor" link that you will find on their page and include as much information as possible about the situation, however you will not receive a refund as the order is not in escrow. When you finalise you are telling the system that the order has been received and everything is as advertised.

Very sorry to hear that you have lost money but that is unfortunately the risk that buyers take when they leave the protection of the escrow system - escrow is there for your protection.

Locking this as there is nothing more that can be done in this instance apart from reporting the vendor if you have an issue with them.

Hi docroxs,

I have had no problems logging in myself; please ensure that you have updated your Tor Browser Bundle to the latest version, and you are accessing the site on the correct URL:

silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

Please let me know if the above fixes the issue.

Could somebody point me to a link that explains the process or just tell me how I do it I have 20 bit coins in my wallet.

Hi nullli,

Go to your Account page over on the main site.

If you see a string of numbers (like 1Eah6mwbuXhaptymbod78ja3WCKftADaQM) that's your Silk Road wallet address.

If you have never deposited Bitcoin to your account before and do not see those numbers you will see a link instead.

Click the link, read the information that is presented to you and you will see your Silk Road wallet address at the bottom.

Simply copy the entire wallet address into the 'send to' section of whichever Bitcoin wallet you're using and hit send and it will arrive within a couple of hours. :)

Let me know if you have any further problems!

I am sorry to say this because he was my favorite and only vendor for some time.  I spent a whole lot of money with him and never had a problem until:

See Liston communicates as if he sends all packages out himself.  This is not the case.  Here is what I have found about him.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Some seller, have it where they get more money if bitcoins rise.  Liston does this.  He will sit on your order for almost two weeks and if the price crashed, he cancels your order.  When it goes up, he sends it out next day or promises you extra if you FE that day.  Here is my experience with him:

Liston stated that he would and told him that I must only get packages from the US.  The listing was for US, too.  Here is how he is sneaky.  He told me just to order the 50 quanity and send him the remaining balance.  I had experience with him so I thought he was good.  He sent me just the 50, I assume, it weighed about a third of the bag of 150.  He wrapped it in paper, no tape, put it in a paper brown envelope and sent it about 10 days after I ordered, from the UK, thought he marked it in transit about 10 minutes after I ordered it.  I asked for a refund and he refuses.  I took it to SR and he offered a 10% refund and accused me of trying to get freebies....after I had spent between 1 and 2 K with him with no problems.
Here is the kicker:
He emailed me and told me that if I didn't just drop the dispute, finalize the order and give him positive feedback, he would send a bunch of shit to my house that was obviously suspicious looking, then call the postal investigators and my local police and provide them with the tracking information.  I just wanted my refund and to be done with this guy.  He was perfect for so many orders and the first time he messes up and I as him to correct it he pulls this.  Wish I knew what to do...

anonymousasshit, as I have told you in your two other threads - and via PM - this has been reported up and the vendor will be checked out.

Locking this. (scout, feel free to reopen if necessary)

I recently ordered a porn site rip (no shame ahahaha!) from the seller DrawkwarD. (The main reason was because I only had a few $ in my account and I didn't have any orders so I wanted to try some stuff out that would be cheap and (supposedly) instantaneous, so I could have a few purchases under my belt for important transactions to follow. But whatever, it's porn too, I don't care ;) ) Anyway, I ordered it seven days ago and it still says "processing" on the Orders page. Should I hit 'cancel'? What will that do? I don't care if I get my $4 back or not, I just want to make sure I don't get any ratings that reflect badly either way. Definitely don't want a refund percentage just from something like this, with only a handful of orders on my account. I also definitely don't want it to auto-finalize, though wouldn't that not be an option until it's past the "processing" step?

Thanks for your help!

P.S. It really seems like the seller DrawkwarD is a scammer. He has not returned my messages. Would love to give him a negative rating, if I can without it hurting any of my ratings. Regardless, DO NOT BUY FROM DrawkwarD!!!

Hi Trippy Hippie,

Canceling an order does not affect your purchasing stats in any way whatsoever. You can read more about the ordering process on the SR Wiki here:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=The_ordering_process

You can not provide feedback at all unless an order has been put in transit - if a vendor cancels the order after this, you will be able to leave feedback on their page.

Newbie discussion / Re: House is rented out year after year
« on: May 08, 2013, 02:41 am »
Thanks for the information. I hadn't thought about the previous tenant re-routing their mail.

You sound knowledgeable, so I was wondering if you could give me an answer that other people haven't been able to sufficiently answer regarding personal usage.

I'm about to order from a vendor called "CannabisCrew". This vendor uses MBBs, and is going to be sending the package domestically. I'm only going to be ordering 1/4th of mj from them, which brings me to my question.

I'm assuming that I pretty much can't be caught if I use the proper address/name unless the package breaks in transit. However, if I AM caught in transit, what will USPS do? I'm assuming, based on prior info, that they will just confiscate the package. However, are there any more severe repercussions that might be possible? E.g. warrant or controlled delivery. I was assuming that there wouldn't be, based on the fact that they wouldn't want to waste financial resources on something so small. Further, I'm in an area that has a medical marijuana law. Thanks!

I'm afraid I can't answer those questions as I'm not in the US; I wouldn't want to risk answering them and giving you incorrect information. I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable about the USPS and US laws etc. will come along and will be able to help you out though.

My OPINION is that your product would simply be seized and destroyed. However, please do not consider that opinion as advice because I honestly have no idea how they view things like this in the US.
