As the title says. How much does it cost to open a vendor account?
Also is it a fee or a deposit? ie. Is it returnable?
Hypothetically of course. If you live somewhere where its legal to possess and give weed as a gift, but not legal to sell or buy, What's the legality of receiving some in the mail? Is the local legality irrelevant if its shipped across state lines?
I am curious if vendors/buyers would be interested in an Escrow Service run by a couple of American lawyers with decades of experience in both civil and criminal law (on the state and federal level) including mediating and/or arbitrating disputes that might arise.
Wow - nevermind - I'm such a fucking idiot - I forgot that I changed prices in between these customers since they both finalized on the same day...

Hey. Thanks for the reply Libertas. I figured that was how it worked. It just surprises me that the bitcoins' value would have risen enough to take .5 bitcoin from a 2 BTC purchase, regardless of the 4% fee. I put in a ticket to support but they haven't gotten to it yet. I'll let you know what they say.

The reason I asked is that I'm having a hard time with some of the numbers given on the transaction history screen - I'm trying to figure out what I am supposed to add/subtract in order to determine how much money is going to me, how much to SR - but the main problem is that it looks to me (based on the numbers) that I paid a higher fee on one transaction that is actually smaller in dollar size than another - and I can't figure out why?
Who could help me with that - looking at specific transactions with me - is that something vendor support can do with me via torchat or something??

Vendors start fresh accounts to upgrade to a vendor account - I highly doubt there are any vendors that use their previous buyer account for vending, or currently buy from their vendor account.
Either way, anonymity is a pillar of this community. If we wish to ensure that there is anonymity for ourselves, we must ensure that anonymity is protected for all.

I understand, and I know the chance is next to none, but I had to try. It can also be that some vendor while not naturally saving the address can remember something, you never know, and as for the fact that he didn't use the same handle, well, I don't actually think the guy is as smart as he think he is and he surely committed some error somewhere (it is just that the good anonymity on which SR is build is actually a sort of shield for him now, sadly).
It's just that I cannot stand that this guy also has the audacity of making fun of people he scammed. This guy has no dignity; I would understand he did it for need or similar, but he just did it intentionally to steal from people that just wanted to make serious trades (and he did earn good money just by doing this without need of stealing).
I thought SR was against selling stolen property.
You are 100% correct, railroadbill. Silk Road does not allow the sale of stolen property, but PayPal and eBay accounts are not always stolen.

I dont follow, in what instance is having a paypal account thats not yours 'not stolen'? Paypal accounts are linked to bank accounts, are you saying people are selling access to their bank accounts?
My usual avenues are dried up right now, and I need to obtain some btc in a timely fashion.
I would prefer within the next few hours if possible.

You smile, isn't it? But weren't you a buyer before becoming a vendor? If that's so somebody has an address of yours (it doesn't matter if it's not in your real name, some information will still be there, and certain things you cannot avoid, differently from people).
If the vendor from whom SamGiancana ordered is around can he please contact me by PM giving me that info? Thanks.
