So im out $150 because I choose freedom? This goes against everything SR is about.
That's not what I said. Please do not twist my words.
You are out $150 because you failed to clarify with the vendor whether or not your order would need to be signed before placing it. You are actually more at fault here than the vendor as you assume it would not require a signature instead of determining if that was indeed the case.
As I stated in my previous post, some vendors DO require a signature.

Buyers guide says never sign for anything.
The Buyer's Guide is just that: a guide. In fact, the very section that states that you should not sign for a package also states the following:

If you follow these guidelines, your chances of being detected are minimal. In the event that you are detected, deny requesting the package. Anyone can send anyone else anything in the mail.
It is expressly stated that they are guidelines, not rules.
Vendors have their own policies on different issues (such as requiring new buyers to FE, minimum purchase amounts, signing for packages etc.), and as long as they do not violate the terms of the seller contract, they are allowed to do that. Silk Road is a free-market marketplace, and all participants in that marketplace need to do their due diligence before proceeding with purchases or sales.
Every buyer needs to employ a modicum of personal responsibility when they are making purchases here. That includes personal responsibility over FE'ing - which we advise against -, personal responsibility over signing for packages - which we advise against -, and personal responsibility over their security arrangements - which we provide a wide array of information about
It is up to the buyer whether or not they wish to deal with a vendor by determining if that vendor's policies and practices match up with the buyer's expectations.
