I believe it is MrNiceGuy007... LE is probably using his account to contact everyone he was dealing with.... We need to find out who this was for sure but I believe he is the one...

I'm 99.99% sure that it wasn't MrNiceGuy007 as that particular vendor has fallen for every scam message doing the rounds - he recently fell for the "SR investment" scam and the "vendor login panel" phishing scam, then asked us for donations because he lost money.

He also thought that the Vendor Bond was an investment of some kind and kept asking if he could he do it again. ??? I don't think LE would be bringing that much attention to themselves.

The proper way would likely be to use a coin washing service, or deposit and withdraw from somewhere that the coins going in and out aren't the same.  You're adding transaction fees unfortunately every time you do. People won't likely check your small transaction.

The blockchain doesn't go away.  You can look at it at blockchain.info

Excellent advice, 013517!

Edit: also, if this is an unsafe undertaking in Europe then I don't think I will attempt it. Any replies or PMs concerning seller safety will be appreciated.

Hi Libertas

I don't think I have a vendor account yet. I have never sold anything (getting rid of a prescribed stash) and I have just registered the name Eurovision on silk road, I clicked the option to create a seller account on SR but it is requiring a 4.04 bitcoin bond. If it is economical for me to do so I will gather the funds for such an account. I'm a little busy with work until Tuesday, so I can work out the details then if needs be.

Since I'm a complete newbie I don't expect anyone to trust me, but if there are ways to build trust among the community over weeks and months I am willing to pursue those methods, if the going price of concerta makes it worth my time to do so.

Sincerely,
Eurovision

If you have not paid the bond then you do not have a vendor account. All sales must take place through a vendor account, so you will not be able to sell anything until you get one. However, the bond is refundable once you meet its terms (which you'll find at one of the links below), which essentially means that a Silk Road vendor account is free!

I would recommend that you read the SR Wiki - specifically the Buyer's Guide, and the Seller's Guide - to get a better idea of how everything works.

I would also recommend doing your research in the Shipping and Security forums. Anything can be successfully sent and delivered within Europe (and indeed, worldwide) once you take the necessary precautions.

how long does it normally take to get onto silk road>?

Hi gpgbuisman,

Please read the SR Wiki in full, as it contains answers to 99% of the questions you'll have:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

Quote
Why isn't my deposit showing up in my account?

It can take up to 6 hours for a deposit to be confirmed on the blockchain, processed, and credited to your Silk Road account. If your deposit still hasn't shown up, first check that it is showing up on the blockchain by searching for your deposit address on a site like blockchain.info. If your transfer doesn't appear here, then it was never sent and you need to find out why from the person or organization who initiated the transfer. If the transfer does appear, then there could be a problem on our end and you should contact us.

can i be recognised as a vendor and have my status updated on forum , i havnt massaged about a minor thing but if this get read pleae action, much kindly

You haven't followed the procedure set in place, yet you expect to be granted the Vendor tag? ??? ???
You need to do the same as everybody else:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Vendor_roundtable

I just registered because I want to get rid of 7 sealed bottles of 36mg concerta (30 pills per bottle, 210 total) but threads like this make me realise it might not be so easy. Should I sell small numbers over a period of months to gain trust? Is it safe to do this type of thing in Europe?

Can you provide a link to your vendor account, Eurovision?

I ordered 1 gram of BK-MDMA and 1 gram of raw columbian cocaine from CashMachine and despite the vendor boasting next day dispatch he has kept my money in escrow for 3 days.
Is there any way that these orders can be cancelled now, rather than 2 days time, so i can actually get my gear before i run out?

Help would be appreciated,
Astrona

Hi Astrona,

Vendors have 4 days (96 hours) to process an order. If they do not process it within this time frame, you will have the option to cancel it. There is no other way to cancel the order, apart from messaging the vendor and asking them to do so.

Please refer to the SR Wiki:

so if i try this last PIN attempt and it doesn't work will i lose  my funds in my account

No, your funds will be fine. However, if the reason that your PIN is not working is because you logged in at a site other than silkroadvb5piz3r.onion then it is likely your account has been phished and the phishers changed your PIN. You should follow through with the PIN reset process regardless.

Remember, Silk Road will never ask you for your PIN at login, and the ONLY Silk Road site URL is silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

Hi bubblebuttbalooza,

You can reset your PIN if you have locked it by following the instructions here:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions#I_forgot_my_PIN.

I would also strongly recommend at this point that you read the Silk Road Wiki in its entirety.

Maybe I'm not being clear enough for you.  Here is the message, that everyone who chose escrow received from the vendor:

Hey thanks for the order! :) Once you let me know which strain you would like it will be all ready to go. Your current choices are Girl Scout Cookies, Larry 18 and some great Flower Bomb, just let us know what you would like as soon as possible. We'll send it out tomorrow once we see you have finalized, you may then contact us any time after that with your order number for your shipping and tracking number. If you've got any other questions feel free to message us back.

Best regards,
Cali

As you can see, he clearly states, "We'll send it out tomorrow once we see you have finalized".  Hence, he did not send it.  He refuses to respond to anyone who replies that they won't finalize early.  Those are his words not conjecture.

I understand the process and why it works.  If the vendor was clever, he would have replied that those that don't finalize early will experience delays or something to that extent and then the delay for investigation would make sense.  But he didn't.  He clearly states it will be sent out when finalized.  His words no mine.

In that case, the established process is to message the vendor asking if they will cancel your order; if they refuse to do so, you may cancel it yourself after 4 days. However, if they put it 'in transit', than you take it to resolution after 10 days and explain the situation to the administrator, including any evidence that may help your case.

That will now not need to be done - as the vendor has been suspended, you will simply need to request a 100% refund.

I know you might think it is a simple process to match up messages and read every one of them where the vendor has stated to buyers that they will need to finalise, but given how slow things actually are when using Tor and the huge volume of messages that an administrator would have to go through (along with checking the order that the message relates to in order to see which shipping option was selected and if the vendor is right to send such a message) it is simply not possible to do that.

In any event: wait the 10 days, hit 'resolve' and request a 100% refund.

I think you're talking to butteredtoast here, not me! :P

Indeed! Sorry guys! ;D

I did not FE!

I read that you should NEVER FE even if you are a first time buyer, so I went by that rule.

 :)

I did a few months of research before signing up and purchasing.

Excellent, glad to hear it! :)

canadianknowledge  can anyone tell me about this Vender other that what i already know . I placed orderd with them and then they CLOSED UP SHOP . now that does not mean that they have done anything wrong ok . Yet a short mesg, were closed and the oders they have coin on and nothing to the people that have just made an order well not cool for me to know what your doing for us so please let us all  know SIR , if anyone knows of or about these folks and is there word good then please ease my mind ..on this VENDER someone ...  Thank YOU !

If you did not FE and you do not receive your order within 10 days you can place it into resolution and request a full refund. If you did FE, then there is nothing that Silk Road can do to help you in this instance.

Ordered L from a vendor in Canada.

Only tried weed before so very anxious/excited.

Live in the middle of US.

I got a message 7 days ago (Saturday) it was shipped.

Thought it would be here by today, but I guess not.

Am I being impatient? I'm a first timer.

Hi butteredtoast,

Orders can often take longer to arrive than you expect them to, and I know you can get quite anxious on your first few orders; however, the most important thing is to remember never to Finalise Early (FE); if you don't stay within the safety of the escrow system then there is nothing that Silk Road can do to protect you!

Please see the SR Wiki here:

I understand that SR should protect both.  But when a simple reading of the vendor's outgoing messages shows he won't send to customers who use escrow, what else do you need to know.  Those who used escrow should be refunded because it's a material fact (not conjecture) that an item was marked in transit and not sent and that escrow was never a real option.  Those are all facts.  If there was any claim by the vendor (not in this case as demonstrated by his own messages) that an attempt was made, I could understand the wait time.  It literally takes 15 minutes to match the messages to the customers in escrow to see this.

In is NOT a material fact that an item was marked in transit and not sent, regardless of the shipping options ("FE for free express, FE for priority or priority in escrow", according to your previous post). Silk Road advises against Finalising Early for ANY reason, but if buyers wish to do so, they are taking that risk on their own bat. Escrow was an option in this case as you stated yourself: "priority in escrow" was a shipping option, and presumably the one that you chose as you did not FE according to the vendor's shipping policies. If you chose a different shipping option that did require FE, but chose not to do so, then you did not follow the vendor's shipping policies making your entire argument a moot point whatever way you look at it.

As I stated previously, vendors that have 35+ transactions and have been selling here for one month or more are entitled to ask you to FE before sending, therefore if a message was sent asking you to FE because you had chosen a "FE shipping option", that would be normal and not reasonable grounds for an administrator to believe that a vendor is scamming.

If you have read DPR's statement on the Support Delays in the main Silk Road discussion forum, you will know that SR Support is currently very backed up. If you have not, I would recommend that you do so. It would take a lot longer than 15 minutes to go checking messages from vendors to individuals, then examining each order to see whether the buyer was required by the vendor's shipping policies for each individual order to FE before shipping or not, so please do not assume that it can all be done with the flick of a wrist.

The system that is currently in place is the best way of dealing with situations like this one when they arise. If you believe there would be a better way to handle it, feel free to start a thread in the Feature requests forum with your suggestions and if they have merit they will be taken into consideration.

Thread moved to Off topic as it is not a Silk Road discussion.

I'm sorry Libertas, please tell me if I'm wrong, however aren't the Silk Road forums part of SilkRoad discussion?

The Silk Road marketplace and the Silk Road forums complement one another, but they are separate nonetheless. The 'Silk Road discussion' forum is for discussion of issues and topics relating to the Silk Road marketplace. This is a discussion about forum karma, thus it is an 'Off topic' issue.
