hey guys!

took the chance to order from a new vendor to see what it's like... communication was great and very helpful, got the tracking code just after it got sent and checked it first after 3 days... and it says it's stopped by customs (in country of origin) and cointains illegal substances.
now i confronted the vendor with this fact and he says: Oh, that's bad luck but i can offer you 50% refund or half the order sent again!"

So... my question is... how can i get back all my money (i'm still in ESCROW)??

thx
WH

Hi waldheimer,

It's great that you've stayed in escrow! When the option to put the item into resolution becomes available, click the link and explain the situation (including any evidence you might have) to the administrator that is presiding over it. Please note that clicking on 'resolution' automatically extends the due-date by 5 days, but an administrator will step in when that period is up.

Check out the SR Wiki for more information on what to do in this situation:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Frequently_Asked_Questions#My_order_hasn.27t_arrived_or_it.27s_not_what_I_expected.

My order hasn't arrived or it's not what I expected.

If your order hasn't come after waiting 10 days, you should click "resolve" next to it on your orders page. This will put the order into resolution. Read all of the instructions in the Resolution Center, and try to come to an agreeable resolution with your vendor.

Check out that Wiki page in any event!

i think it would be very helpful if there was a section for each country so one can access info only relating to said country.

for a noob like it would help me understand things pertaining to my country without having to search every thread with (ie) Australia in it for specific info.

maybe it's not done for to security reasons or maybe i'm just being a whiney bitch about having to abuse the "search" feature so much.

Hi pure Milo,

I agree, that would be a nice feature but I think it would break up the forums too much. We already have a relatively small community here and it's better for everyone when as much broad, general information as possible is contained in threads that everybody frequents.

However, when using the Search bar, do it from within the forum that you wish to search. Searching from the forum homepage will look through every forum, but searching from inside the Shipping forum, for example, only pulls up results from the Shipping section.

You can do the same inside any thread as well - the search bar searches the area of the site that you are active in, whether that's the main area, a sub-forum, or an individual thread. :)

I have 3 unwanted things in my shopping cart but I just can't seem to delete them!
Anyone knows how to delete things in your shopping cart or should i just create another account?

Hi ONEfirebullet,

You simply have to put the quantity in as "0" and when you update your cart the items will be removed. :)

im not demanding special service at all lol all im merely saying is i dont understand how they cant look at the PM between me and the seller and see that it shouldnt have been marked as in transit as it was after all still processing, and im asking why they cant refund the coins after doing so? im not saying i should be treated any differently either, this is a forum right? for asking for advice? just curious after being shot down right there.

Apologies for the previous posts, tuppenceone2012, I was just getting tired of answering the same question in a number of different threads about why people couldn't get refunded sooner; I shouldn't have gotten so worked up about it - sorry!

I know it might seem as though it would be a simple process to match up messages and read the conversations between buyers and vendors etc. but given how slow things are through Tor, the relatively small Support team, and the huge volume of messages that an administrator would have to go through for each person in the same situation (along with checking the order that the message relates to in order to see the circumstances surrounding the issue) it is simply not possible to do that.

It's PGP!

Actually, it's both! :P PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is the predecessor of GPG (Gnu Privacy Guard). ;)

Off topic / Re: The Score On Negging on Silk Road forums
« on: May 19, 2013, 05:54 am »
Wow, very mature! Nice strawman attack by the way! That thread about me has NOTHING to do with the topic at hand. Maybe you should move your own post to the "off off topic"

Please, stay on topic. I don't bring up your love of my little ponies. You moved someones thread about being offtopic, yet go off on some tirade about how I cant question your actions because I had a "melt down."

Your a hypocrite with a self inflated ego.

InfiniteSource

I have given the reasons, InfiniteSource; I made a decision to move the thread to the Off topic forum because it is an Off topic discussion. I'm not going engage in an argument with you over it. You're more than entitled to your opinions about me, and I don't expect all of my decisions to be popular ones. In a community such as this you cannot please all of the people, all of the time.

I will not be engaging any further with you in this thread. If you have any problems on the forums, please feel free to PM me and I will respond to those PMs as soon as I have the time to do so.

Wow Libertas. Your reasoning in the matter is pretty stupid. Mind sending me a copy of the "official" sr forum rules? Of are we just going on your insane thought process? Glad to see your reasoning behind things.

Silkroad forums have nothing to do with silkroad market place, It is OFFTOPIC? This thread was perfectly fine where it was, or perhaps rumor mill? Off topic? Really?

Ah, InfiniteSource. I'm afraid I can't send you "a copy of the "official" sr forum rules" as we don't actually have any. Sorry about that. However, we are not just going on my insane thought processes, no. We are going by the description found beneath each sub-forum that details what should be put there. Not sure why it bothers you so much, but then you do seem to get bothered by most things. :-\

As for my reasoning: coming from you, that is very rich indeed.

Your meltdown in the 'Need advice' thread speaks volumes about what you consider 'reasoning':
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=159966.0

Though you've edited all your posts, people can get a very good idea of what you were saying from the quotes in the posts of others.

I have explained quite clearly - twice, in fact - the reasons that this thread was moved from Silk Road discussion to Off topic (you can find them in my posts above). The thread was moved, and remains open for people to post in, so I fail to see what your problem is here other than one of attempted one-upmanship over me. You continue to come across as rather infantile when you attempt to engage in such frivolities, so it would probably be better for you in a business sense - as a vendor - to act a bit more professionally.

Product offers / Re: Anybody interested in a samsung Galaxy s3
« on: May 19, 2013, 03:48 am »
Hey i have this galaxy s3 im trying to get rid of, trying to sell it for 275 since its literally brand new no scratches, blemishes or anything. Most other websites are selling it for 400-600. Message me if you have any questions and im a vendor on here so we can do the transaction in escrow

"Stolen Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3"

The sale of stolen items is absolutely not permitted on Silk Road:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=Seller%27s_Guide#Restricted_items

Quote
Restricted items

Do not list anything who's purpose is to harm or defraud, such as stolen items or info, stolen credit cards, counterfeit currency, personal info, and assassinations. Do not list weapons of any kind.

Do not list anything related to pedophilia.

Practically speaking, there are many powerful adversaries of Silk Road and if we are to survive, we must not take them all on at once. Additionally, if you try to please everyone, you will wind up pleasing no one. So certain things are restricted just so we don't scare too many off.

On a moral level, we take the high road, pun intended ;). Those who seek to control the behavior of their neighbors through force are immoral. Silk Road exists to circumvent that force and provide a safe-haven where civilized people can come together in peace for mutual benefit. To allow listings of items designed to defraud or harm innocent people would be to stoop to the level of the very people we are standing up to.

I would strongly advise you to re-read the Seller's Guide, buycoins.

Customer support / Re: Place a listing in multiple categories?
« on: May 19, 2013, 03:03 am »
Is there a way for a vendor to place a single listing in multiple categories?  For example, place an adderall listing in BOTH Stimulants -> Prescription -> Adderall AND Prescription -> Stimulants?  It seems this might increase exposure as well as make it easier for buyers to find what they are looking for.

Hi mdpro,

No, I'm afraid that is not possible at this time. If you wish to place a listing for a single product in multiple categories you will have to create multiple listings to do so.

EDIT: Thread locked as resolved.

Newbie discussion / Re: Vendor status on the forum
« on: May 19, 2013, 02:53 am »
Libertas

Thank you for taking the time to make such an informative post.

I am in financial difficulty, which is why I want to sell, so the bond will be tough to raise but I'm looking at ways to raise it.
I am rather discouraged by the 30 transaction stipulation on the bond repayment because I wanted to unload everything in bulk to minimize my risk, but beggars can't be choosers- unless you can direct me to an easier way.

Thanks again,
Eurovision

You're very welcome. :)

Sorry to hear that things are tough financially, but hopefully you will be able to raise the money for the bond in some way. The terms of the bond are set in order to make it harder for scammers to get a foothold. Please note also that your sales must total $1500 to meet the terms in order to get a refund.

I'm afraid there's no other way to sell on Silk Road - all vendors must enter into the Seller bond before any sales can take place.

Best of luck with it in any event.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I can't reply on the Silk Road Discussion section as this has gone to Off topic like everything else on Discussion *sigh*, despite being clearly marked as 'Silk Road forums'.

I explained the reason for this in the post directly above yours, Razorspyne:
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=160934.msg1142134#msg1142134

It is not a discussion about Silk Road, it is a discussion about forum karma. Thus it has been moved to the Off topic section as it was not posted in the correct section to begin with.

And the worst part is that the majority of people living here seem to have no problem with this.

The reason for that is because the majority of the people aren't directly affected by it. People have become too 'insular' - they don't care what's happening in the world around them as long as they aren't directly affected. If it started happening to them, they'd definitely kick up a fuss.

That's one of the things we need to change in order to effect change; we need to encourage compassion for one another because to the governments of our respective countries, we are ALL the same - simply numbers. They get away with it because the majority have unfortunately not yet realised that their government have complete disregard for the well-being of the populace under its control. >:(
