Hi guys, I opened an account on SR about a week ago and have had problems logging in the whole time. Yesterday it seemed to be working fine so I decided to try and fund my account. I made a btc purchase from a member with 100% positive feedback and over 150 transactions on SR. I was a bit nervous but I sent him £100 directly deposited to his local uk bank account this morning and then messaged him to confirm.
He replied quickly saying he'd look out for the deposit then transfer the btc. Since then I didn't hear from him for a couple hours and now the site is down? Is the site down or just not working for me? Also I'm not saying I got scammed and apologies to the vendor if as I expect, everything ends up legit from his side, but I've been reading the forums and it seems everyone is saying the bitcoin vendors are scammers.
He sent me .01 bitcent to then make the order from him on SR, have I been scammed? Anyone know when we will be able to get back on SR market?

What the heck? SR is working fine? When I try to log in its asking for my pin which is not normal, then I get a message from DPR saying the site is under maintenance and a link to this forum for more info
Silk Road will NEVER ask you for your PIN. You're attempting to log in through a phishing site. The URL you should be using is:
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
You will most likely not be able to access your account on the real site as the phishers have likely changed your passphrase; please see the following SR Wiki entry about how to reset that:

No I didn't pay through SR, the guy had 100% positive feedback on loads of transactions so I figured why would he bother screwing me for 100 quid, any ideas or tips on why I cant log into the SR market?
If you fail to work within the Silk Road order system, there is nothing that can be done for you in the event you get scammed. Do not FE, do not use BTC exchangers on Silk Road to get your Bitcoin and do not ever send Bitcoin directly to vendors.
Please read every page on the SR Wiki; 99% of what you need to know is explained there in detail, and had you read it previously you would not have lost your money:
