How do you know if a vendor has read your mail?

If you go to your sent messages folder on the main site you will be able to see if a vendor has read your mail. However, if they have opened their messages using the 'bulk reply' feature then they may have read your message but you won't know until they mark it as read or else reply to it.

I don't mean my real identity. I mean this one. I probably have to make a new forum account now. *shrug*

If you were vending previously and had a forum username that was linked to that vendor account you couldn't use the Taquitos forum handle regardless. And even if you wanted to use that one, due to your previous posts you would be narrowing down the search for you and leaving incriminating evidence.

i've been a long time browser and active on the main site but never posted on the forums before. just wanted to get your input on this:

attempted to order 4x of a listing at a lower than usual price from a vendor today in escrow. less than 5 minutes after i placed the order, it was canceled for reasons unknown to me. my buyer stats are impeccable. i sent the vendor a message asking why my order was canceled; they read it and didn't respond. after i noticed that 4-5 people left feedback stating they had to FE per vendor request, i sent another message asking if the vendor would cancel my order if i placed another one. the message was read but still no response.

i've been in a similar situation before with vendor 'xanax bar', and they turned out to be scamming people (it was confirmed on these forums).

Some vendors cancel orders because they run out of product, some because they have too high a workload at the time and others for personal reasons etc.

There are plenty of vendors on the road that would be very happy to do business with you, however, so simply pick somebody else and remember to always stay within the safety of the escrow system.

Support are working on this as fast as they can, joolz, but unfortunately site security has to be given priority over users that are falling victim to scams due to FE'ing.

And I feel it prudent to inform you that that isn't me. My other post--saying I wanted to buy bitcoins from that one guy (for $99) so I could buy LSD--was simply complaining that some ass was spamming the boards with a likely scam.

I'M not trying to scam anyone. I'm just trying to get help and ideas for bailing the country.

I'm sorry, I see what you're trying to do, but I don't think slandering my name is going to help. I find it unfair. Offer that up AFTER I make the offense of asking for money, not before I do it. I'm innocent.

I haven't slandered your name, Taquitos, I have simply suggested possible links to other topics given the coincidence and timing of your posts here. Furthermore, both stories seem to exist within the same 'story universe', giving credence to my assumption that they are indeed linked.

My actions might not help you personally but they may help the community at large and the safety of the community is more important to me than the needs of any one individual. It is not an issue of fairness - it is an issue of ensuring that people have all of the information available to them to make an informed decision on any topic under discussion.

I also requested that people not give you their Bitcoin IF you ask for it - I did not say that you WOULD ask for it. As I said in my previous post, if this is true then you have my sympathies. If it is not, then you have my apologies for presuming that that is the case. However, I believe that my original assumption is correct.

Hey, hold on there. I never even posted my BTC address. People can judge that for themselves. I'm not asking for donations. I don't even know who those people are. It's pure coincidence.

I know that, and yes, they certainly can judge that for themselves. However, the way this thread seems to be going - and from reading your other posts elsewhere - I felt it prudent to pre-emptively advise members of the possible links to two other threads in these forums.
