Scammers do us a favor and go to another site ... SR is a wonderful place where sellers and buyers can "exchange ideas" without fear of being scammed  >:(

Some people have to work hard for their money to afford that luxury can sometimes  >:(

As scout has stated, the administrator presiding over the resolution can see the messages if necessary.

Please note that it is the administrator that decides on the amount of the refund given, not the vendor's refund policy. That is taken into account, however, as you infer agreement with a vendor's policies by placing an order with them. That goes for privately arranged refund policies as well, but the administrator would most likely settle on the refund that the vendor has stated he would provide in this instance.

As scout has stated, Silk Road will not provide information as to when an account was created. To find out if it is active, simply try to register it. If you cannot register it then it has not been archived.

If you believe that you did indeed register the account but can't remember the password to it, you can message SR Support with the information found here:

Nobody "took" your screen name, nor does the fact that it has been registered by somebody else before you jeopardise anything. I just want to weigh in here that what is stated in the original post in this thread needs to be taken in the context of the thread that the quoted message actually appears in. All is not as it seems when re-posted here. Regardless of that thread's context, however, I did send the issue up the chain to administrators and received word that discussions were underway with the vendor in question. As such, the case can be considered closed.

Again, the original post appears here without the context of the other posts surrounding it from the thread it actually appears in. Please do not pass judgement based on what was posted in this thread alone.

From what I can tell, SuperTrips is an exceptionally good vendor and can be trusted with buyer information. He said what he did in a discussion about buyers that attempt to scam vendors, and as sinister as the post in question may seem, it appears that it was indeed stated in a hypothetical sense rather than being factual in nature.

If an order does not arrive or is not what expected, you should take the order to the resolution center immediately upon receipt of it.

Sounds very Donald Rumsfeldian! Anyways, I agree with Lib. The reason this place kicks ass, the reason this place survives, the reason that LE/Rival Sites/Hackers have a raging hardon for SR and everything thing connected to SR is because DPR runs a tight ship. And that means having many things happen behind the scenes that never see the light of day. This ain't a democracy, and it shouldn't be. I don't want the mods to be "accountable" or be required to divulge what they know about anything that might compromise the inner works of SR/DPR's policies.
