We're here to try to help and guide this community; we're not here to "neg" people with imaginary internet points, nor attack them. This is getting comically out of hand - arguing over something as innocuous as forum karma is ridiculous, and I direct that to ALL parties involved in this platitudinous discussion.

I need you to clarify the situation a little:

You say that you made two purchases, and that the first (large order) was not received. The second  purchase was a smaller order, and it was received.

You then say that you had asked the vendor to cancel the small order and "just go through with the first (the large order??) since it was still processing and the other order hadn't been received when expected" - what other order are you talking about?? There were only two: the large and the small. The large order was cancelled and you were refunded your money for it. This left only the small order, which you say WAS received. What is the "other order that hadn't been received when expected"?

That is essentially what any transaction is, whether on a free market or not; so yes, that would count as a purchase.

You walk into a store and offer to donate $5.00 to the store's cash fund in order to receive a product in return. In a legal sense the advertised price of any product is simply an invitation to treat, meaning an invitation to you to pay X amount for the product in question. The advertised price - being an invitation to treat - is therefore open to a counter-invitation to treat for a lower price etc.

Calling the price paid for a product you receive a "donation" does not change the fact that you are engaging in a trade, namely that you have offered the owner of the product an invitation to treat by stating that you will "donate" (read: 'pay') X amount if he/she will give you the product, or the owner of the product has offered you an invitation to treat if you will "donate" (read: 'pay') X amount for it.

The scenario that you mentioned is the underlying principle of any trade on any market.

You say that there were 2 parcels in the police station in front of him - this is likely the point on which the entire case will hinge. As was mentioned earlier in this thread, the 250g order was split into 2 x 125g packages. The police intercepted the first package and likely started watching your friend's mail to ascertain whether or not this was part of a larger operation.

When the second package turned up to the same address they could safely presume that the first package was not sent to that address by mistake, thus feeling that they could proceed with arresting, questioning and immediately charging your friend with a certain offense. The charge is most likely conspiracy to traffick a controlled substance with the intent of sale and supply, or similar.

As he has already been charged that means that the police feel they have enough evidence to secure a conviction against him; you *cannot* be charged with an offense without evidence that an offense has been committed, and you *will not* [usually] be charged with an offense unless that evidence is strong enough to give the police reason to believe that they will win the case when it comes before the court. If they didn't think they could win the case they would have performed a controlled delivery and charged your friend with possession of a controlled substance and intent of sale and supply of same.

Basically what that means is that your friend is sitting between a rock and a hard place; unless a lawyer can successfully argue that your friend had no knowledge of the packages in question, nor what they contained, it is quite likely that they will be convicted on a conspiracy charge.

A conspiracy charge where two packages have been seized going to the same address on different dates is going to be much harder for a lawyer to defend against than a conspiracy charge where only one package has been seized going to an address. This is due to the inference produced by the fact that it is highly unlikely that a high value package would be mistakenly sent to the wrong address on two separate occasions.

As this means you have Finalised Early, please note that there will be nothing that Silk Road can do should there be a problem with your order. We recommend that all users stay inside the safety of the escrow system at all times.

To answer your question though, generally speaking - if you have decided to leave the protection of escrow by FE'ing - you should leave feedback for an order once you have it in your hands. You can update the feedback later once you have tested the product to reflect whether or not you're satisfied with it.

Not sure what you mean by "or i must fill it in order to accept the package" - it should be on its way to you once it is marked 'in transit' by your vendor.
