I completely understand that, motek, but it's simply a case of me not giving it the same priority as perhaps you are giving it because I knew that the message contained nothing factual and it was solely an attempt by someone to rattle your cage. If there had been anything genuine in the message from that person I would have moved it to a priority folder and devoted much more time to following it up.

There should be a link that you can click on your account / account settings page to set up a PIN if you created your account before we introduced PINs. If it is not there, please message SR Support (you can find them by clicking 'support' in the bottom right corner of any page on the main site) and let them know that you set up an account before we introduced PINs and you need to create one.

motek I get swamped with PM's about various issues on a daily basis, I cannot remember every issue that members come to me with. I apologise for not getting back to you, even to tell you that there was nothing more for me to say. I said I would get back to you and I didn't - sorry for that.

However, as stated above there is nothing that we can do when it comes to the main site. We deal with customer support issues here because a huge amount of the questions people ask SR Support are very basic things that are caused by them not understanding how the site works - answers to which can be found in the SR Wiki or here on the forums.

Regarding issues with vendors, they will have to be brought up directly with SR Support. If it's a pressing matter you are, of course, free to message the mods here and we will see to it that the issue receives an administrators attention, as we did with this issue. We don't always hear back when we send something up the chain due to how busy the administrators are but rest assured everything that we send up gets looked at or investigated if needs-be.

So far they've DONE squat!   HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY even allowing a vendor who sends pm's like this to members?  Surely sending SR members DEATH THREATS = being banned!

There was nothing more to say on my end, motek. There was no proof that the PrivNote was from the person you say it was from, and we reassured you that what was contained within it was completely untrue. As it was a PrivNote, there was nothing we could do about it as it was not in the SR messaging system. SR Support did say they would check out his account, and if they said that then they have done so.

I did not hear anything back from admins about it so there was nothing for me to get back to you with.

We moderate the forums; please do not blame us for things that may occur on the main site as we have no administrative access to it.

Hi journeyman,

The only way for BTC to be removed from your account once it has arrived there is to be withdrawn by someone that is in possession of your PIN. How many characters do your passphrase and PIN consist of? If you have never entered your PIN at login and have always used silkroadvb5piz3r.onion then you should check your system for keyloggers, dataloggers and rootkits as any one of the three could log your information and send it back to a third party.

If you have ever accessed your Silk Road account using onion.to they will also have a log of your passphrase and password.

No, I'm afraid it is not possible to reverse finalisation of orders. Most vendors use auto-withdraw that removes their BTC from the site when it reaches their account, and it is up to each of us to exercise personal responsibility when using Silk Road. Sorry that you finalised the wrong one, but there's nothing that can be done in this instance.

Yes, you will receive all your BTC back. However, if the item was hedged you will receive back the item's USD value at the prevailing Bitcoin rates at the time that you receive your refund. The Bitcoin value has dropped a very small bit since the 30th so you will likely get a small bit more Bitcoin than you paid out; please note that the ~4% hedging fee will be charged on what you receive back, if the item was indeed hedged.
